24.01.2022 Look Good Feel Better has been named a finalist in the Southern Cross Credit Union 2020 Community Grants, and we need your help! Please support our application for the funding of our workshops in the Northern Rivers region by voting for us through the Southern Cross Credit Union website - tr.im/SouthernCrossCreditUnionGrant You will need to vote for Cancer Patients Foundation under category number 1 - 'your favourite community group/other applicant'.... You will also need to cast a vote in the other two categories to process the submission, but please note Cancer Patients Foundation / Look Good Feel Better is only listed in the first category. Voting will close on Friday 30th October so please get clicking, and share the link with your family and friends so they can vote for us too!

We have 9 of each of our 'Skincare and Make-up', and 'Wigs and Headwear' workshops running this month. And of course, don't forget our Home-Delivered Confidence Kits!... 21.01.2022 So far this year we have distributed 4,000 Home-Delivered Confidence Kits across Australia. One of our recipients, Alli, said; "I received my Home-Delivered Confidence Kit and for the first time since this all happened, I was excited. Excited to try the products and excited to show people. I started with the skincare and make-up products and as my confidence came back, I started wearing my wigs. I was finding a new me. A stronger me. A better me.... This program is amazing and is such a wonderful gift for those of us having to deal with all that cancer throws at us." 19.01.2022 When we hit the end of July, all of our incredible Dry July participants had raised over $150,000 for our program. And after a very successful grant round we are absolutely thrilled to announce that, thanks to the Dry July Foundation, our grand total for this year comes to $420,000! We can’t thank the Dry July Foundation and all of you who supported us enough - this generosity will help us boost the confidence of thousands of cancer patients across Australia over the coming year.

15.01.2022 Alli, a Mum of three, received a cancer diagnosis just before Christmas last year. She was feeling self-conscious about the loss of her hair and eyebrows as a result of her treatment, but as she was so self-conscious, she was hesitant to attend a Look Good Feel Better workshop. Alli opted to request a Home-Delivered Confidence Kit instead. "From the moment it arrived at my door I was filled with excitement - something that I hadn’t felt in months. I felt loved, cared for and... so extremely grateful. I had never owned anything Chanel before and when I saw inside the package that there were all of these amazing products and beautiful colours I couldn’t believe it. I was so emotional, I couldn’t stop the tears from flowing. I felt like a little girl on Christmas morning. I remember racing to my room and putting on my lipstick and feeling like the prettiest girl in the world. There I was, sitting in my lounge room watching TV with my daughter in my pjs, patchy yucky hair, pale as a ghost, feeling so sick. But I had my lipstick on, and I was beautiful!" 04.01.2022 Our sincere thanks goes to the City of Newcastle for a $12,000 grant which has allowed us to boost the confidence of 120 cancer patients in the Newcastle region this year. With no government funding, it's generous support like this that allows us to provide our service free-of-charge to those who need our help.

02.01.2022 Our sincere thanks goes to @AuroraEnergyTas for awarding us a $10,000 grant to support over 100 Tasmanians through the Look Good Feel Better program. The grants are designed to help Tasmanian community groups stay connected as they adapt to the new normal due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This funding will be put to very good use and we are so grateful for the support.
