23.01.2022 I absolutely love this. I have been creating moments of stillness in my life these days. Previously something I would avoid at all costs because I was always so busy busy busy! Yep I'm still busy, but I make time to slow down. It comes with resistance for sure, and recently as my design work has become busier (thank you universe, f-off covid), I've noticed that feeling of overwhelm creep in. I don't let it hang around though and taking moments elsewhere in ...my day to meditate and slow down actually sets me up for coping so much better when things get a bit heccers. 23.01.2022 Look at this palette! It's got all my colours sitting perfectly and is seriously dreamy. Colour plays such an important role in design and how you feel in a space. Take choosing a white paint for your home. It's a minefield! There are so many the average person doesn't stand a chance and so many mistakes are made. Too cold, your walls will look blue. Too warm, it will feel dated.... I'm a neutral gal when it comes to walls, it's the canvas to what I can create with colour in upholstery, artwork and soft furnishings. Every so often I like to take the time to reintroduce myself as there are always so many more lovely people following along my page every week. I’m a Sydney based interior designer who focuses on residential home design. I work closely with my clients through the whole design process and have a team of suppliers and tradespeople to support me for small to large jobs.... I have a real passion for joinery design and create kitchens, storage and media units, study nooks and more! Honestly I think joinery is the best investment you will make in your home. That and a beautiful rug. And sofa. And art. And plants. I have another business in the digital space that is a combination of education (think all things digital marketing) and affiliate marketing (high ticket offer = high ticket commissions). I started this to work along side my interior design role as something extra to add to my skill set and future proof myself. 13.01.2022 THERAPY I don’t keep it a secret that I’m seeking therapy at the moment to assist me on my healing journey from the separation of my marriage. I’ve been seeing a psychologist and a kinesiologist since February and both provide vastly different guidance and support. My psychologist provides me with an insight as to how we could have gotten to the situation that we are in. It’s like a slow and interesting conversation each time we chat,... questions are formed but not pushed, it’s for me to come to some sort of realisation without any words ever being suggested. There's never any blame, just responsibility taken. It’s gradual and gentle and feels necessary for me. My kinesiologist is a more immediate release of energy. It feels good, it unlocks parts of me I didn’t even know existed. It brings up things I didn’t even know were floating in the background. It’s vulnerable and spiritual and sad and wonderful all at once (I actually think she's a little bit of magic ). I personally don’t think you need to go through a trauma to invest in therapy. Your mind and wellbeing is so worth it and is probably in need of some extra support right this very minute regardless of the place you may be sitting in emotionally. It’s just this thing called life that sometimes takes its toll. There can be some stigma attached to therapy and seeking support but far out is that's a big mistake. I want to be guided by someone who is an expert in that arena, I don’t need to try and do it all on my own. My personal experience with these two women has been a shining light on what has been a very dark and difficult time. I don't plan on stopping any time soon that's for sure. I hope by sharing this that it might help you if you're tossing up whether engaging with a therapist or healer is the right way to go. You won't regret it. Libby x See more

10.01.2022 Major plant shelf goals going on right here. I came across this article in Domino Magazine and it was too good not to share. The collection of plants on this shelf is just perfect - the varying shapes and heights has been done so so well. And green with the terracotta of the bed linen is such a good combination.... This space was completely transformed with the injection of colour by way of upholstered armchairs, soft furnishings and this absolutely scrumptious bespoke Arthide rug. It is such a reflection of the owners and their beautiful pieces collected from living overseas and became a much loved and used space by bringing in more personality.... 07.01.2022 Nature walks + podcasts I listened to a really powerful podcast last week whilst walking in nature and one of the topics discussed was our emotional scale and what we can do when sitting in a dark place to bring ourselves out of it. The strategy of 'what is your next best thought' was such a great and relatively simple concept. If you’re feeling for example, despair and anger, work on moving yourself into feeling just anger alone as it’...s better than the combination of these two emotions. Ask yourself what is your next best thought, other than what you’re currently feeling in this difficult or challenging moment, that can shift you into a slightly better place. I really liked this idea and discussion and am so open to whatever small steps I can take to help myself heal at the moment. The focus on daily baby steps rather than the ultimate end result is less overwhelming. Keep moving forward. 06.01.2022 I had an incredible day on Friday I experienced the most spiritually connected photo shoot with some of my beautiful digital sisters and friends. There was a women’s circle where we shared deeply from the heart and we tapped into various archetypes to bring these into the photos.... The rain fell which made it even more beautiful. It was so much more than just photos, it was pure magic. There was bonding and connecting and celebrating us as the women we all are. Love these women and what we are all creating. Nasty little word that it is, it is honestly such a killer of joy and success and I'm pretty sure we are all guilty of it somewhere. Whether it's to success and how you personally measure that. The house we don't yet have, the job we are striving for, the holiday we are still waiting to go on, the money in our bank account. It is... a true and debilitating feeling and comes from such a place of lack. 03.01.2022 How's your long term health plan? I feel I'm in the midst of wanting to learn so much more about what I put in my body and am so keen to keep improving my health so I can live a long and vibrant life Although always health conscious, for me improving the quality of the water I consume daily has given me the nudge to keep exploring what I can do to live in optimum health.... I have switched to organic fruit and vegetables which is an easy change to start with and am simply being much more conscious of what I buy, what I use in the house, make what I can at home so I know what's going in to it and educate myself. I want my body to avoid inflammation as this can be when the nasty diseases take hold. Knowing that my body is absorbing water that is rich in hydrogen and antioxidants is super comforting. It can be overwhelming when you look at all the changes you want to make, so just start small and take one shift at a time. 02.01.2022 Hello Beautiful people I wanted to say hello and welcome in the weekend with a fresh introduction to what I share in these squares! You will see me first and foremost here sharing my interior design business. From snippets of my own projects to anything that inspires me on the daily. ... I am a bit of a spirit junkie and share things that feel motivational, for myself and for anyone else out there. The last 18 months have seen a huge amount of personal development. I share quotes and images to all things greenery and plants. They bring me so much joy. My boys of course , my dog, smoothies and juicing, all things health and wellness are also high up on my list of what I love and am inspired by. I am a multi-faceted entrepreneur which means I don't just offer one service. I have multiple income streams 'cos I consider myself to be a savvy, forward thinking, creative conscious wealth creator. Multiple income streams is where it's at, as is online business. Setting myself up for my retirement or for when the market decides to dip or my design clients unexpectedly drop away. Which this year has proved only too well. I feel so inspired designing homes AND guiding women on how to build a personal brand and an independent income via an online vehicle. It's so empowering to know there is an option out there that ticks every single box for me. 01.01.2022 I took a break last week and had a few days away because of the choices I have made with how I work. As a sole trader I get to pick and choose when I work. It's excellent in terms of flexibility and I feel very fortunate to be able to do something that I love, on my terms. But there is one thing that stops this model from being perfect. I trade my time for money. So I'll only ever earn as much as the amount of jobs I can complete each month, each year, forever. And I always ...need to ensure I have clients in the pipeline. This became a thing for me last year and I wanted to find a way to earn more money but not stop my design work, continue to choose my hours, not be away from my kids, add to my skillset and generate a second income stream. Is that too much to ask!?! You know it’s actually not and I found a place to do just this. My second business is online which means there is automation involved. This is key to time freedom which is what I wanted. We get to decide how much we can create in this life of ours, nobody else should put a cap on that. It can be achieved by stepping outside of the norm and away from the traditional way of working. Online is where it's at I love that my businesses compliment each other. My online biz allows me learn digital marketing skills which supports my design work, and to expand by working on my mindset and connect to others (excellent for a sole trader!). And SO much more. I have learnt an incredible amount since stepping into this space both professionally and personally, and this is my long term game.
