09.01.2022 This wasn’t in New South Wales, and we already made a post about this incident a couple of days ago, but the details just keep getting worse. On Monday, a fathe...r of three left the waiting bay of a psychiatric ward in frustration, and was soon after rammed by a police car (which Victorian Police claim he damaged in this altercation), subdued and then stomped on. A man driving by caught the incident on his phone, or we might not have ever known the extent of the brutality. This was what we knew on Monday, and it was already a disgrace. We made a lengthy post about the dangers of criminalising ordinary activities and the state of mind it puts police in but we didn’t really know the half of it. The arrested man was sent to Intensive Care as a result of the stomping, and drifted into a coma. Thankfully he has regained full consciousness now, but the real kicker is that the police officer who is seen stomping on him in the video has been suspended with pay. I’m fairly sure not many of us would get a taxpayer-funded holiday on the back of car-ramming and stomping on a client at work, and neither should this officer. 03.01.2022 The Australian contitution is an ownership document and it does not give "civilians" rights they did not allready have. But it does give politicians rights that you can not deligate.
