22.01.2022 Is it still cool enough to have a fondue party?! I'd say so... All you need is a fondue set from the library and you're all set to go! If it's too hot for fondue, what about making your very own ice cream. Once again the library has you covered.

12.01.2022 Looking for a way to help those in our community? Donating to the Library is a great way to directly impact the lives of others who may be in need. Here are a few items we'd love to include from our wish list. https://libraryofstuff.org.au/wish-list/ Urn, belt sander, grinder, vacuum cleaner (that works well) Photo by Ashim D’Silva on Unsplash

10.01.2022 Meet our new volunteer: Guy. He's got a lot of experience in hospitality, managing restaurants, therefore knows the ins and outs of catering items and he has a love for borrowing things rather than buying. You too can become a volunteer with us. Send us a little PM to find out how!

10.01.2022 Dear community of members, we know you've made some wonderful things with items you have borrowed from us, over the time since we've been open... It can be anything from a garden you have tended, a shelf you have built, to a sink you have repaired or pasta you have made - and anything in between! We'd love to see the finished product, or a work in progress. You can do so either by sending us the images as a ...PM, posting directly on our page or emailing us the images to [email protected] Photo by Ian Schneider on Unsplash

06.01.2022 WE NEED YOUR HELP!! Mullum Cares started the Library of STUFF out of founder, Sasha Mainsbridge’s, garage. Due to increasing Covid restrictions, items that ‘overflowed’ the two Library of Stuff storerooms are no longer allowed to be stored in the big room downstairs at the Scout Hall so many of these items have been brought back to Sasha’s garage. BUT we were already starting to store items for our new projects, Salvage Culture and Reverse Garbage Northern Rivers - including... 9 sewing machines!! Here’s the kicker. Council gave us consent to put a shipping container next to the Scout Hall opposite the Telstra tower on River Tce, Mullum last year as we went for a grant knowing that we’d quickly run out of room. We didn’t get the grant but got a donation so wanted to proceed with purchasing a shipping container but council said their consent was dependant on us getting the grant There is enough room to put two 20ft shipping containers back to back on this small piece of road verge next to the Scout Hall. One for the Library of Stuff (including the 9 sewing machines that will support Salvage Culture education) and one for Reverse Garbage. Please email [email protected] and tell him you support Mullum Cares request!! If you are super keen to help please share this and feel free to send any and all of the Councillors a message any way you like to ask for their support for these community initiatives!
