25.01.2022 Hello lovely people! Happy to report the library is still standing after all that wind and rain! I think Jordan is quite chuffed his workmanship is top notch The library is being used and loved - a huge thanks to all who have donated books, those who are using the library with respect and those who leave beautiful comments. I still get such a thrill when I go to check the guest book and find awesome feedback! ... I have had a request for more Young Kids adventure stories and she suggested the author Cornelia Funke. Does anyone have any books from this author or adventure genre in general that they would be willing to donate?

23.01.2022 NOW OPEN! The wait is over. Our street library is now stocked with books and ready to be enjoyed ... It's been so fun getting this prepared and I really hope the community gets behind it, uses it and finds some great reads! Jordan Faed has done an amazing job building this for me so I hope it gets treated with the utmost respect! Speaking of great reads, I can recommend The Sisters' Song by Louise Allan. This is a truly beautiful debut novel set in rural Tasmania over a span of seventy years and follows the journey of two sister's. Louise lives in Perth too, so it's always good to support our WA authors! She is highly talented and I am eagerly awaiting her second book. Another one is A Spark of Light by Jodi Picoult, my all-time favourite author! This is her latest novel and as always, tackles a complicated issue in a thought-provoking way. The way she writes is magic and I get lost in her books every single time. And of course, I have to mention my story, Fighting Spirit. This is the life story of my Dad and I wrote it to keep his memory alive. He was an inspiration to me - the way he fought his battles with bravery and a smile on his face showed me what true strength really is. Whatever book you choose, happy reading and I hope you come to love the street library as much as I do!

21.01.2022 Hi! I’ve finally got around to changing a few of the books in all 3 sections - you know what they say - variety is as good as a holiday Proud to have included my debut picture book called My Daddy is Different. If there are any children in the area who has a loved adult in their life suffering from mental illness, this is the book to read to them ... I’ve also put the Bunbury Writers Group first anthology in there, called Death, Despair & Other Happy Endings. I’m part of this amazing group and if you’re looking to read stories by local talent, this book is it Hope everyone finds some time to put their feet up and read during this festive season!

21.01.2022 Check out these amazing donations from a very generous community member! Lots of great titles and authors in this lot. Will keep the Early Readers and Young Adult section well-stocked for a while

12.01.2022 My street library is listed on the map on the Street Library Australia website. Woohoo!

10.01.2022 My 4.5 year old drew this picture. ‘It’s our street library near our house and the girl with the blue and brown dress looked at the street library and she looked at the whole street and she smiled.’ Hope our street library makes you smile if you happen to walk past

09.01.2022 I’ve noticed some people have added books to the library. Thanks so much! Very much appreciated! Have also loved checking the Guest Book to find wonderful comments So good to see the library being used and enjoyed

09.01.2022 For anyone who is interested:

03.01.2022 There’s nothing like losing yourself in a good book! And luckily, there’s plenty of good reads at LFLOH!

01.01.2022 Hope everyone has had a happy holiday (for those on school holidays) and are ready to gear up for the last term of school! I have just added a kids book (age 6-12years) to the library. A cool collection of two themed stories - spooky and enchanted - in the one book! I’ve got three of my stories in there too Have also added a number of adult fiction books ... The library is packed with great reads, hope everyone is enjoying it! Have a great Monday!
