25.01.2022 Congratulations to the gorgeous E & S who fortunately doged the rain, wind and cool air on their wedding day by just a few minutes. The sun came out and the rain moved on just before the Bride's arrival and this Power couple looked amazing and were incredibly happy to finally "tie the knot" with their beautiful family by their side. No matter where your journey may take you both, I wish you and your Power clan all the best ahead. #canberramarriagecelebrant, #smallweddingincanberra, #licensedtowed, #rainydaymarriage,

25.01.2022 Happy Anniversary to these two beautiful humans photographed so gorgeously by Mel at A Shot Above the Rest!!!!!!

24.01.2022 Congratulations to Lihong and Tom on your wedding day. You looked amazing and it was so nice to have the beautiful bride in yellow on such a sunny day in Canberra last week. I wish you and your family every joy, peace and double happiness ahead!!!! G:)

24.01.2022 Happy 5th Anniversary to my niece Jessica and husband Robbie who married on 7 June 2015 at Lake Crackenback and managed thereafter to have their wedding pictures and story featured in a magazine too! These two lovelies adore the Snowy Mountains and chose all wording in their bespoke ceremony to suit their tastes. I was honoured as an Aunt to be invited to act as their Celebrant on that brisk but fantastic day among family and friends. Note: The Bride's dad, pictured with ...Jess and grandson Dylan below, still has no hair but Dylan now has a sister Jennie and all are doing well. (Photos thanks to the incredible photographers at "A Shot above the Rest and thanks to Chicago Charles for the live music at the ceremony and reception and for being a great fun DJ too)

24.01.2022 Hearty congratulations to Mr and Mrs C on their marriage over the weekend at the Hyatt Hotel Canberra!! I've known this gorgeous bride Natasha for many years and she and her bearded beau made quite the couple last Saturday during their light and lovely ceremony, filled with love and laughter. I was delighted to be invited to act as their celebrant and to join the fantastic reception that followed. Wishing you much joy and happiness for your future together in marriage. 23.01.2022 Well, the AFP arrived at Hotel Realm today while I was facilitating a marriage for a gorgeous couple. No one needed to worry of course as we were all COVID 19 compliant. I can't yet share any photos of A & B tying the knot, but will introduce Mr and Mrs F on this page soon. In the meantime, here's a few incredible shots of Vincent and Alina who married at this time last year. Beautiful people, inside and out! (Photos by L'Sense Productions)

22.01.2022 For interested clients, this looks like a fantastic opportunity to find and say 'Yes' to a dress for your big day ahead.

21.01.2022 I had the pleasure of guiding a beautiful Nepalese-born couple through their legal marriage today after a Hindu ceremony last month. I can't share any photos, but instead, I thought I'd congratulate this gorgeous couple, Johnathon and Gretl, who married exactly 7 years ago today!!!! Happy Anniversary guys and I've loved watching your family grow since then. Wishing you at least 70 years more of love and laughter together. 15.01.2022 If you are feeling romantic or love giving gifts that are edible, or if you are planning to pop the big question of marriage ahead, celebrate your anniversary, a birthday or any other great occasion, you may be interested in these yummy, locally made hampers. 15.01.2022 Yes - a win for weddings and other ceremonies/gatherings being planned! Following today's National Cabinet meeting, the ACT Government has announced: New measures to protect the community:... From 11.59pm on Friday 8 May, COVID-19 restrictions have eased further to support families and our economy. Key changes that will take effect across the ACT: All indoor and outdoor gatherings can have a maximum of 10 people (including children). This includes gatherings at a person’s home, which can be a maximum of 10 people (with exceptions where two households coming together results in a gathering of more than 10). Weddings can now have up to 10 people attend, excluding those conducting the ceremony. Indoor funerals can have up to 20 people attend, excluding those conducting the service, OR outdoor funerals can have up to 30 people attend, excluding those conducting the service. Religious ceremonies and places of worship can have up to 10 people attend, excluding those conducting the service. Outdoor bootcamps and other non-contact fitness activities can be held with a maximum of 10 people and no sharing of equipment. Real estate open houses and auctions can proceed with a maximum of 10 people. For all of the above gatherings and activities, physical distancing must be maintained at one person per four square metres. These new public health directions acknowledge the impact that social isolation has on our wellbeing. For full details, please see the ACT Government's Covid website. Such good news for clients about to marry, name their babies, renew their vows and so on, and just in time for P & S and V & C who are both to marry in just a couple of days time!!! G:) (Photos by Á Shot Above the Rest')

15.01.2022 Spring time in Canberra is always awesome and this year is no exception! Lately, Ginninderry Homestead, the Margaret Whitlam Pavilion, various back yards, Brindabella Winery, Canberra Nara Peace Park, the Senate Gardens at Old Parliament House and my front yard have all seen beautiful weddings and renewal of vows ceremonies. A lot of photos are expected ahead and not everyone wants to share photos of course, so today, here are a couple of me instead - one on my way to marry a beautiful Bhutanese couple recently who exchanged khuddar (white silk sashes) as part of their ceremony and one of me getting organised at home for an intimate elopment in the garden.

15.01.2022 I am so grateful and excited to get this lovely award news (below) this evening. 14.01.2022 Happy New Year everyone!!! It's been a busy start to 2021 with: - lots of couples coming to meet to chat about their planned ceremonies, - some last minute drafting of ceremonies only booked in around Christmas/New Year and happening soon in Jan/Feb, ... -a beautifiul Naming ceremony at a country estate last weekend; and -the first coastal wedding on my books for 2021 coming up shortly too. All this is exciting, life is wonderful and I hope you are too! Of course, Covid-19 is still causing tension (& some confusion too), so please do be aware clients/prospective clients of the latest rules around weddings in the ACT and NSW, depending on where you will marry or hold another celebration. These rules in full, including specific rules for current NSW hot spots, can be found at the following websites and change regularly, so you'll need to keep an eye out for any further changes ahead: https://www.covid19.act.gov.au/ and https://www.health.nsw.gov.au///Pages/latest-updates.aspx In brief, in the ACT: -The maximum number of people who may attend a wedding or funeral is 500 people, excluding staff and anyone involved in the service (for example, celebrants, photographers, etc). Venues must comply with: -one person per two square metres of usable space in each indoor and outdoor space (excluding staff) provided they are using the Check In CBR app -one person per four square metres of usable space indoors and one person per two square metres in outdoor space (excluding staff), where they are not using the Check In CBR app. In brief, in NSW: Weddings, funerals, and memorial services (or a gathering after these services) are restricted to 100 persons, subject to the 4 square metre rule (for indoor areas) and the 2 square metre rule (or outdoor areas); - dance floors are not permitted, except for 20 persons in a wedding party. -All hospitality venues are required to use the Service NSW app to register customer check-ins. Where there are unexpected circumstances such that details cannot be provided electronically, they can be provided directly to the occupier. In all states/territories, where a ceremony is held outside a hospitality venue, couples must provide (preferably well BEFORE the ceremony) a list of all invitied wedding party and guests, your photographer/videographer & other suppliers who will be on-site at the time of the ceremony to your celebrant, along with either their phone contact details or an address. Note: Celebrants are required to keep this information in case authorities need to conduct contact-tracing if someone were to become unwell at any ceremony we officiate, but your privacy is of prime importance to me and all private information for attendees will be kept private and confidential, and records disposed of, as legislated. Pleae contact me if you have any questions and I'll share some more positive photos and news in posts on this page ahead. Regards Gina:)

13.01.2022 Rain on a wedding day is often associated with new beginnings and prosperity! Lately there has been a lot of rain too, but no one's spirits have been dampened on these very happy days. To all those who commenced the next chapter in their journey together in marriage in the past couple of weeks, enjoying wonderful days with family and friends, let me congratulate you again! And a very Happy Anniversary to this beautiful couple, Rachel and Josh, who celebrated their 5th anniversary yesterday! You guys are truly awesome! Best wishes always. G:)

12.01.2022 Brrrr - we are certainly into the Winter Wedding period now when many are planning for their big day ahead, selecting and chatting with their celebrant about their ceremony, great venues, photographers and all the suppliers who will work as a team to ensure a great day. A lovely couple in my office today asked me if anyone locally made beautiful feather bouquets like the one's shown here now, which the Bride found on etsy.com. While I've seen all kinds of bouquets of the ...past 11 years, I'm new to feather bouquets. My clients would love to contact a local supplier instead of looking internationally. I'd be grateful if anyone knows who might be able to make them locally could pass details to me so I can share them with the lovely K & C. They will marry in June 2021, just as the Groom's parents and the Bride's grandparents did. https://www.etsy.com//708937312/bridal-bouquet-feather-peo https://www.etsy.com//bridal-bouquet-wedding-bouquet-feath. Of interest to other clients might be the latest Cmainformation relevant to the ACT for those planning a local marriage (100 guests allowed) https://www.covid19.act.gov.au//f/weddings-funeral-worship and relevant to NSW (20 guests allowed) https://www.nsw.gov.au//what-you-can-and-cant-do-under-rul Please contact me for a chat or to ask any questions you may have about your marriage plans between 9am and 9pm. If with other clients, I will get back to you asap. Happy planning and stay warm!!! G:)

12.01.2022 Wow!!! What a beautiful surprise thank you gift from Natasha and Anthony who married on Saturday at the Hyatt Hotel. Thank you so much to you both! It was such a pleasure to working with you to achieve the ceremony you wanted and I'm still smiling when I think of the "Dowry" of tiny farm animals that Anthony handed to the father of the Bride upon walking his "favourite" (allegedly) daughter down the aisle and having previously told Anthony that he expected some kind of dowr...y. Hehe! Such a light-hearted but lovely ceremony and your vows were awesome!!! Congratulations again and thank you for your lovely gift. Wishing you a lifetime of love and laughter ahead. G:)

11.01.2022 Thinking back on the gorgeous Alex and Ben who married at Shaws Vineyard in Murrumbateman. the chemistry between them was electrifying. Terrific couple and terrific day!

This update to Step 3.1 of Canberra’s Recovery Plan will apply from 9am on Friday 18 September 2020, subject to a successful public h...ealth risk assessment (check point) on Thursday 17 September. It will mean that smaller sized venues, facilities and businesses will be able to increase their occupancy number, with a maximum of 25 people (excluding staff) across the whole venue. Further information is available in a letter sent today to businesses, so if marrying in a smaller venue, please check with the venue about ceremony numbers that they can cater to. See more

08.01.2022 Well, what a beautiful day outside - the sunshine is perfect for a wedding if you don't mind the cooler Canberra air. Some clients have been inquiring about their forthcoming wedding dates, given increases in Covid-19 cases, particularly in Victoria. At this stage, the ACT rules around weddings are: Weddings can have up to 100 people excluding those conducting the service or assisting the wedding or 1 person per 4 square metres, whichever is lesser. Wedding celebrations ...must adhere to rules for the hospitality sector. So, for now, nothing has changed and I look forward to facilitating a number of weddings, namings and other events ahead. I am liaising with those clients whose families are unable to attend ceremonies from Victoria or overseas to postpone their ceremony, if they wish, or to conduct their ceremony now with family attending via the internet, and to hold renewal of vows ceremonies, if they wish, in future. Congratulations again to the beautiful Y and T on your milestone occasion. Yours was such a beautiful, intimate and fun occasion and I love seeing the joy with which you celebrated it. Best wishes always. G:)

Happy Anniversary E & T - I remember your ceremony as if it was yesterday!!!!! Lots of love, G:)

04.01.2022 I love these photos by David Beach - Megan and Cameron were such a joy to work with when they married at the Margaret Whitlam Pavilion on a day very much like today! Wishing them both clear, sunny skies ahead as they journey onwards. Congratulations again on your marriage, surrounded by a beautiful group of family and friends.

03.01.2022 I attended a fantastic webinar with this guy yesterday and loved his thought leadership and content. Would thoroughly recommend a look at Mark's work in the USA.

02.01.2022 From 11:59pm on Friday, 29 May 2020: Each wedding is attended by a maximum of 20 people (excluding the celebrant and professional photographer), where social distancing of one person per four square metres is observed. Attendees are asked for their first name and telephone number (for contact tracing purposes), and if provided, the organiser keeps a record of these details, along with the date and time at which each person attended the wedding. By 11:59pm on 5 June 202...0, all celebrants must have developed a COVID-19 Safety Plan, to which they must adhere, and which must be produced when requested by an authorised person. Just letting client's know that my safety plan is already in place AND I have been recently COVID tested and found to be negative. My priority is to ensure your safety and wellbeing on your big day!! Well before Covid restrictions, Harry and Margaret celebrated their renewal of vows with a group of less than 20 and had a ball. Thanks to Steve Murray at Creative Images for sharing this great photo of the beautiful couple with me, when we didn't have to maintain social distancing.

02.01.2022 Happy anniversary this month to Stephanie and Matt!

01.01.2022 A few photos from one of last week's fantastic marriage ceremonies involving just 5 of us, in accordance with the law last week!
