07.01.2022 I have been thinking about making a lightweight gimbal for a while now. The Wimberly Sidekick with Manfrotto Ball Head weighs about 1.35 kg & the Chinese Andoer weighs about 0.95 kg. So the new gimbal head started life as some second hand PVC pipe. 3 wraps of carbon fibre later & things are taking shape. Looks like it will come in at around 0.75 kg.
03.01.2022 A Carbon Gimbal Head always seemed like a good idea but it was only when I pulled out some old PVC plumbing that I started this project.
