16.01.2022 LACC Open Track training recommences from tomorrow (Wed 13th Jan) at Lidcombe Oval. It will be each Wednesday evening at 6:30pm, unless weather prevails and we will advise here if cancelled. Training is open to all licence holders. Please ensure you have a current licence. Training is free for LACC members and $5 for others. ... You will be required to note your attendance on arrival. Please check your licence number and contact number (for contact tracing purposes) are correct. If you are keen to attend, please drop [email protected] an email with your licence and contact number. Training starts at 6:30pm, but come earlier for bike setup. There are loan bikes available, just bring pedals, shoes, helmet and bottle.

Entries accepted on the day, but exact cash only $20.

13.01.2022 The wind picked up but it was another cracking day at Singleton for the Hunter Balley Chrono. With Laura and Ben backing up from yesterday there was some tired legs. Well done LACC on some tremendous results. Keira Will taking the top step and Laura picking up 3rd. Shall we give Ben bragging rights . This was a great weekend and worth locking in some calendars for 2021.

13.01.2022 Happy birthday LACC. Did you know that 2020 marks 100 years for LACC? To celebrate we’ve compiled a limited-edition book containing loads of photographs and great stories about the Club’s 100-year history.... It’s a hardcover book with over 100 pages and was researched, written and curated by our own club member Peter Maniaty. You can purchase your very own book for just $50. There’s a display copy that will be at various LACC events over the next few months so please take a look and add your details to the order form. You can also view and pick up your copy from Nicola’s house in Concord. Email her at [email protected]. Payment is via EFT or cash, and we’ll also post a copy to you at an additional cost. Don’t miss out.

11.01.2022 Just a reminder that we need to obey road rules at all times, particularly when wearing club kit. A group of LACC riders were seen riding up the footpath at pace this morning at SOP to avoid a red light while the rest of the group blatantly rode through the red light. If we want other road users to respect us we must obey the road rules.... Stay safe out there.

11.01.2022 Friday Night Track Racing ***THIS FRIDAY 13th November @ DGV*** In conjunction with our mates at Bankstown Sports CC, we are alternating weeks at Lidcombe Velodrome and Dunc Grey Velodrome. Sign on from 6pm, Junior racing at 6:30. Open grades on the Track from 7pm, first race 7:30. Canteen and Coffee available. Grades include; ... BMX kids (Lidcombe only), Junior C, Junior Development A & B. Open grades; A, B, C & D. In the event of bad weather - the Rain venue is DGV (the call will be made at 3pm, and posted on LACC Facebook if it’s wet). Open grades (U15+) - $12, Juniors - $6. 11.01.2022 We have had the Race of Truth and settled scores out on the Lansdowne Criterium circuit. It’s now time to complete the trifecta and test our legs out on the road. We are going to run our Club Championship Road Race in conjunction with Camden CC’s Downes Nursery Classic on the 22nd November 2020. Check your emails for the discount code and we'll see you on the 22nd November. We still need some help for the day. Please let me know if you have the time.

09.01.2022 A great day all around for the LACC Teams at the NSW TTT. Each of teams left it all out there and achieved Top 10 finishes. A great result for the elite men with the 2nd fastest time of the day, taking silver.

08.01.2022 Help needed... If any LACC members are available to come down to Lidcombe oval tonight at around 6pm to help our newbies with loan track bikes. Size them up, find an appropriate bike and adjust saddle height etc. I would normally do it but one arm in a sling is difficult, and Coach Phil is busy at work and will only just make the 6:30 start time. 07.01.2022 An update from your club Prez... After a racing incident last week I have broken my right Scapula (shoulder blade). Racing at Adcock Park, Central Coast club’s velodrome - going too fast for the situation, clipped a wheel and I was the only one to go down. Second round of xrays this morning at Concord hospital, I’ve been now cleared of requiring surgery but 3 months off the bike is in order. I’d love to say ‘see you out there’ but I’m likely to become a bit of a hermit for a ...while. I’ll be back, but in the mean time if you can help running our fantastic club any assistance will be welcomed. Please don’t fuss, I’m not looking for sympathy. I’m just telling it how it is. Lots of people from far and wide have already sent their good wishes, and thank you, I appreciate everyone’s concern. And a huge thank you goes out to those people who helped on the night after I was driven by ambulance to Gosford hospital. You know who you are. See more
