15.01.2022 Some pictures from yesterday's wedding. Lachlan and Mel went country style at a brand new rustic venue at Mount Whitestone. The venue is owned by Lachlan's parents and is so picturesque. It will be open to the public for celebrations and as a B&B soon. If you or someone you know is interested in the venue let me know and I will put you in contact. 05.01.2022 I had a meeting tonight with a gorgeous prospective couple. We met at the Aspley Coffee Club. While waiting for them to arrive I told the staff I was a celebrant meeting a couple to discuss their wedding. Was incredibly touched when they gave the couple a free slice of cake of their choice and on leaving would not let me pay for the coffees. It was on the house. I know where I will be meeting friends in the future. What a lovely act of kindness on their part.

04.01.2022 Every year a marriage celebrant must do 5 hours of ongoing professional development. I did mine today. As well as catching up on all the compulsory learning we visited some of the beautiful North Brisbane wedding venues. What a beautiful day for it.

If you are looking to book venues and choose a date, one factor to keep in mind is that a couple planning to marry must give notice ( Notice of Intention to Marry - NOIM) at least one calendar month before the ceremony.
