03.01.2022 Life drawing in Cooran on Monday nights 7-8.30pm $20. We welcome ALL levels of drawing ability Come and try something different. No one is looking at your work (unless you want them to!) We are a small, very relaxed & friendly group. You are welcome to have a chat, listen to music and, if it feels right- put some marks on paper. It's not about the end result but about the practise of DOING and the journey. Cliche but true! Why do we draw a naked person?? -Drawing a ...naked body helps us to connect to our inner un-clothed child. We see ourselves in the figure in front of us. We connect to our memories and storylines through the act of creating. Art can be creating something that evokes some type of emotion, feeling, or memory. Putting marks down on paper can help us to connect to our own emotions. (Ref- inspired by the words of the amazing Ron Curran of Mullumbimby's famous Dynamic Drawing). Drawing a person is also practical! The model stays still but then can move to a new position. Unlike an animal, child, or any inanimate object. Also, clothes are hard to draw Hope to see you soon!! -the Life Drawing Cooran Team Xx
