10.01.2022 3 minutes at the traffic lights... Yesterday I was at the traffic lights waiting for them to change. I looked across at the driver next to me. His car was damaged and the side window gone . I could see he was clearly distressed with me looking at his car. He was twitching badly and struggling with the confrontation of me looking into his space. I felt his pain ... I felt that he felt I was judging him .. and maybe I was... It was a very uncomfortable few seconds but it fel...t like an eternity. I looked away, then looked back to my left and at the same time he looked at me. I said in my strong voice and a heart full of love, " MERRY CHRISTMAS". He looked at me with tears rolling down his face and said ... "Thank you I needed to hear that .. now I can book myself into the hospital right now." The lights changed at that moment and he wiped the tears from his face, looked at me and smiled with a massive glow that Ill never forget and then he drove away in the direction of the hospital. I have never shed a tear for a stranger before and will probably never see him again. But if I do I will thank him for the lesson he taught me in that 3 minutes sitting at the traffic lights.. One loving gesture to another can change a persons life forever and in turn it can change yours. Never under estimate one act of kindness . That 3 minutes at the traffic lights See more
