24.01.2022 We’d love to know if you’re planning on gathering together tomorrow in a park or open space to be church and listen to 105.1 Life FM. Let us know! Thanks Rory Weightman and the Reforming church for this great suggestion.
24.01.2022 May you know light in your darkness, may you know peace in the chaos. May you be content with mystery in the midst of mid faith questions. May you be the good news to everyone you encounter this Christmas. May you share what you have with those in need. May you be a sign of God’s compassion in the heart of this world. ... And may you know, how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ for you right now, this Christmas time and always. Amen (Courtesy of Joe Davis from the Mid-faith Crisis podcast) See more

22.01.2022 We hope you have all had a happy Father’s Day but for those for whom it hasn’t been may you be comforted by this awareness
21.01.2022 Take heart, whilst things are uncertain and confusing there is the promise that it won’t always be like this. God knows you and understands.
21.01.2022 In our forced 'platform' environment, how do you avoid communication 'oopses'. (We all have 'em! It's a brave new space with an ever evolving language.)
20.01.2022 From Esthers Australia, more about Lindy - Having suffered one of the worst injustices in Australian history, when she was wrongly convicted by the Australian public and the court system, and jailed for murdering her baby daughter, Lindy Chamberlain should be full of bitterness, yet this inspirational mum could teach a masterclass in forgiveness. In a recent interview Lindy revealed she had to forgive, focus on positives and let the past go to find happiness.... "It's not what happens that counts, it's how you choose to deal with what happens," she said. "You can choose if you're going to live with anger, regret and revenge and miserably think yourself a victim. Or you can choose to be a hero in your own life and forgive the past and move on but it doesn't happen immediately." Lindy was eight months pregnant with Kahlia, her 4th child, when she was sentenced to life in prison for murdering Azaria. "I knew the minute she was born they were going to take her off me, So every moment of the birth I fought it. It was like, you keep her inside and she's yours, the minute she's out she's not." On bitterness and resentment, Lindy says she tries not to "get stuck" but sometimes, you can't get away from it. It sleeps with you at night. It goes to the bathroom with you. It showers with you. It has parties with friends with you. It's always there. You need to choose your battles often and wisely. In 1986, the discovery of Azaria's matinee jacket led to Lindy's immediate release and then the overturning of her conviction in 1988 but it took until 2012 for an inquest to officially conclude a dingo killed Azaria. In a recent interview Lindy said; "Would I have chosen to learn the things I've learnt through other ways? You bet I would have. Did I want my daughter to die so I could learn to forgive? No, I did not. But am I sorry I learnt to forgive? No, I am not. You can let your mind be occupied by regrets or by vengeance or by anger ....or you can move on." #lindychamberlain we are sorry you lost so much and it matters. #womenwhoinspireus #lindychamberlain #masterclassforgiveness

17.01.2022 There have been many unexpected benefits arising from Covid restrictions. In many cases, working from home is one of them. It's up to us to think differently and make positive adjustments. In this article Kara Martin raises some points you may not have thought of and offers positive suggestions.
16.01.2022 Here’s a great opportunity for you this Sunday. Gather some friends and meet in a park or outdoor space. Be church together as you listen to 105.1 Life FM’s various church programs. Rory Weightman explains: I'm really excited about something Reforming Church has started doing as a way for us to 'regather' as a church family called 'Church in the Park'. Steps below... 1) choose a suitable public outdoor location 2) invite people to gather to listen or watch your church livestream online. The maximum number is 10, plus a faith leader, (not including infants under 12mo) Vic Gov Reference: https://www.coronavirus.vic.gov.au/religion-and-ceremony-th. I would also encourage you not to exceed this number if you can help it. If it happens that the group who turn up is larger than you expected, maybe break into two groups and not mix together, since I believe as Christians we want to be honouring God by how we obey and respect our government. This is especially so in these very public gatherings as everyone will be able to observe us 'doing church'. 3) arrange for someone or yourself to bring/order some morning tea/coffees & lunch (eg BBQ, fish and chips, pizza) 4) turn up at your location early to get set up with a radio/speaker or loud phone to listen to your church service. Note- this is not a long term replacement for the church family gatherings that we call Sunday Worship and would very much like to do, just a short term temporary way for us to gather to worship on a Sunday as Christians have been doing for 2000 years.

15.01.2022 When you’re lying in bed tonight, when dawn breaks and you don’t have to get up and anytime during the day, think of our nurses, doctors, paramedics and other front line workers. Send up a prayer for them for strength and energy to do their job and protection from Covid19. And give thanks because they are doing it to keep you and the community safe.

14.01.2022 Currently on our playlist is Cade Thompson and his song Provider. He sings: 'Cause what you give me Lord is more than I desire You're my Provider When I lose my way You lead me through the fire... You're my Provider Even on my darkest day You show me where the light is You're my Provider And when my strength is gone I know where to find it.... ‘ May this be your awareness today.

10.01.2022 Tuesday Bite Question! Ethical dilemma... Your friend arrives at your home with THE worst hair cut and colour you've EVER seen. In fact, you don't know where to look ... She asks excitedly, "What do you think!" You know it's wrong to lie. You also believe it's wrong to be mean (and right to be kind). You know your friend is sensitive. Will you... Tell her the truth, knowing it will crush her? Or will you pad your answer to protect her feelings? Interested to hear how you would process this! We all have ethical dilemmas when two of our values collide and the options don't seem to provide an easy answer.

09.01.2022 Lovely to hear Raina MacIntyre speak of her faith in God. And so important to read reliable information. She points out that Covid19 isn't just a severe dose of the 'flu although that too can be deadly. We are right to take it seriously and do all that we can to prevent it's spread. Most importantly, we as Christians, don't need to be afraid.
