20.01.2022 40! Last weekend I turned 40. Years ago I promised I would never be sad about a birthday. This birthday was extra special though. My dear husband @murray.henderson_ planned a surprise party, and on Saturday I spent the evening eating and celebrating with so many amazing friends. 20 years ago when I immigrated to this beautiful land down under I could have never dreamed of the life I would live on this sunburnt soil. So many stories were shared and remembered, and I’m so thankful for the life I’ve lived and the people I share it with.

15.01.2022 2021 I want you to look more like this. More real. More natural. More goodness. More connection with the people who are close to us and less with strangers I follow online. A dear friend gave us a jar of honey from their backyard bee hive. It is absolutely delectable. But more so it represents so much love. The love that goes into a garden season after season. The commitment to gardening in a natural way, instead of the quick easy way that uses fertilisers and pesticides that would kill the little honey bees. 2021 I want flower crowns, fresh bread with butter and drippy honey, and old worn in blankets. What do you want your 2021 to look like?

03.01.2022 Petal Pie I had the most beautiful flowers at my surprise birthday party last week from @posydrop. I love flowers in all their stages, even when they are just about expired. I wanted to capture the memory of these flowers in a really special way. I have this beautiful doily that was my great grandmothers that I used as the pastry for my pie. I want to be like these flowers, even though I’m getting older, there is still beauty to be found.
