25.01.2022 Art is a huge part of my life outside Financial Planning. As a teenager I vividly remember my parents buying me an airbrush for my 15th birthday. I mucked around with it for a year and then dropped it in favour of partying, hanging with friends and getting up to no good in my late teenage years. I wish I had of kept it up, and have made a conscious effort to give it another shot. I've been watching Rafa's videos to provide motivation and inspiration as to what can be achieved. I get lost in his process and the end result is always amazing.

22.01.2022 We all have a voice, life experience and wisdom, that when shared can inspire, stand up for and add value to other's lives. It's vital to me that my social media content doesn't remain silent on areas of weakness, setbacks or opinions I share. It seems as though everything is watered down as to not offend when it is crucial for some people to take action, empower them to make change in their lives.

20.01.2022 Having practiced mindfulness, for quite some time, one of the big lessons I have learned is to allow emotions to simply be and exist in coherence with my ideal mental state. When I feel fear about a task or action needing to be taken I acknowledge it, however do not act upon it. This can sound counterintuitive at first glance. Dr Russ Harris provides an example in the below video, relating to the "struggle switch" His book "The Happiness Trap" is also a great read.

04.01.2022 Often I overcomplicate when setting goals and outcomes for myself. I also see this a lot with my clients. John Doerr lays out a very clear and concise framework for setting goals and tracking outcomes in his TedX talk.

02.01.2022 It's been a while since I posted any content, let alone my LinkedIn articles. Like most of my content, this one is personal to me! I understand my opinion on the subject may rustle some feather's, however, it's what I believe in. ... Looking forward to some healthy debate, and would love to see your thoughts in the comments section! #ownyourlife #parenting #firstborn

02.01.2022 Gaining a mentor in your chosen career is so important if you want to level up! I've got several mentors who I turn to for advice, honest assessment, a comforting ear. One issue I had while the mentor relationship was new: "What do I ask them?" The below article provides some great starting questions if you're in a similar position.
