14.01.2022 Amy + Alan Private Property 222019 At a family friend's home just out of Perth, Amy and Alan tied the knot in front a small group of family and friends.... In what was a short ceremony so that they could (and I quote) get the party started as soon as possible, Amy and Alan had written their own vows. The words each spoke were so gorgeously in tune, each naming the same things they loved about each other, alongside all the things they love to hate about each other. And just as their vows were mirrored and in tune, so were the speeches and accolades from all their family and friends. It was a party full of love for Amy and Alans genuine natures, their love of a good dig at one another, and their commitment to having one hell of a party. Coming into a family gathering like that was such beautiful experience; not only did I get to witness Amy and Alan vow their lives to one another, but I got to meet and learn about all these people who are like family to them. So, to Amy and Alan, thank you for making me feel like an old friend amongst family. Heres to happy tears, mic drops, and some good old fashioned line dancing to take out the night!

14.01.2022 Keearne + Josh Meneghello Estate 232019 How do I describe the feels that took me over as I drove down a dusty road into the heavenly oasis that was Keearne + Joshs wedding? In truth, it felt like had taken a wrong turn and stumbled upon Italian Vogue.... Vistas of lush green lawn that rolled into olive groves all the way to the horizon, an open-air canopy of fairy lights that dazzled even in the day light, table settings that oozed modern minimalism and elegance. oh AND, a bride that was not only breathtakingly beautiful, but also planned to take the breath away from her groom in more ways than one. What do I mean by this you ask? Well, Keearne, the sassy gal that she is, wanted to break the ice a little for her beloved Josh. There was no time to be wasted on being nervous about first looks or walking down the aisle she was going to bring the relaxed vibes straight up by PUNKING the GROOM. Enter stage left, Sam, her bestie who threw on a wedding dress to give Josh the shock of his life. And so it began. Fake first looks. Shock. Laughter. Real first looks. Real FEELS. Deep breaths. Quiet moments. Endless giggles. Belly laughs. Rockstar running jumps. Rockstar dance moves. And to hold it all together, love and pure moments of souls colliding that took my darn breath away. 13.01.2022 Stacey + Sarah Fairbridge Village 30032019 I am so lucky, you are such a babe!... These are words that continue to pop into my head of late. And without fail, they bring a very cheeky smile to my face and Im transported straight back to a setting sun at Fairbridge Village on a late autumn afternoon. It was here that I had the absolute pleasure of capturing the love between Stacey and Sarah. I got to hang with two truly beautiful souls that day who were utterly bursting with joy as they vowed their lives to each other. Stacey and Sarah; your love, your enthusiasm, your joy for life and every moment that you live in it, inspires the hell out of me. That adorable moment was really just the icing on the cake that day. So many other moments hit me HARD with ALL THE FEELS. Like when Stacey walked around the corner for the first look at her bride. Her emotional reaction literally stopped her in her tracks, and I stood in awe as she was absolutely consumed in that moment. The energy was so incredibly powerful, that for Peggy (their wonder of a photographer) and I, it became all-consuming as well. I held back tears as I watched these two women see each other, come together and intertwine in every way that matters. And we were only just getting started, as the moment was coming where they would be pronounced wife and wife. It was like I could feel all the joy of all their adventures thus far combined, expressed in that celebration of THIS IS US. Experiencing these moments with Stacey and Sarah, I felt like I already knew them so well. So much so, that when their fathers and their bestie got up to say a few words, I found Peggy and I glancing at each other with these knowing looks of understanding we now had in the tales told and recognition in the truth of their character. That didnt help with my emotions when Sarahs bestie of more than 20 years surprised her with an acoustic rendition, complete with heavenly vocals. Brace yourselves for that one ladies and gentlemen. I now find myself falling asleep with its sweet tune on my mind. Fairbridge Village brought the vintage setting and wholesome homey vibes, friends and family brought plates and platters of soul food to share, and their nearest and dearest brought words of love steeped in shared history and straight from the heart. And Sarah and Stacey? Those two girls brought the passion and strength of their shared story, which emulated in every glance, every hand squeeze and every brilliant expression of you are SUCH A BABE, how did I ever get SO LUCKY?!. A massive thanks to Perth band The Tommyhawks for the use of their track 'Hollow'. 13.01.2022 Ashton + Braden Evedon Estate, Western Australia 23032019 Leaving Ashton and Bradens wedding I simply could not wipe the smile off my face. Yes, the whole day was a kickass celebration filled with good times, touching times (I think we all had a tear in our eye alongside Braden during his vows), and hilarious times as even the mothers of both the bride and groom roasted their children when they got their chance in speeches. ... But, no, it was the dance floor just before I left that really had me with all the feels. Ashton shared her first dance with her father, then her first dance with Braden, and then the floor filled up as everyone got into it. But then as Ashton and Braden found each other again amongst all their family and friends, they started busting moves that CLEARED the darn FLOOR! Footloose was a feature, enter Braden aka Kevin Bacon, and for a full two songs you could tell that for Ashton and Braden, there was no one in the room but them. Love, ladies and gentlemen. Rockin, all consuming, passionate LOVE.

07.01.2022 Since it's V day... Here's some romance for you lovers. Below, an exerpt from one of the most beautiful heartfelt speeches I've ever had the pleasure of witnessing. And the vid? Laura + Ken. Lovers for just about 10 years. Husband and wife for just about 10 months. How do I love thee? Let me count the ways. Laura + Ken "How do I love thee? Let me count the ways.... I love thee to the depth and breadth and height My soul can reach, when feeling out of sight For the ends of being and ideal grace. I love thee to the level of every day's Most quiet need, by sun and candle-light. I love thee freely, as men strive for right. I love thee purely, as they turn from praise. I love thee with the passion put to use In my old griefs, and with my childhood's faith. I love thee with a love I seemed to lose With my lost saints. I love thee with the breath, Smiles, tears, of all my life; and, if God choose, I shall but love thee better after death." There was not a dry eye in the room by the end of these words. And it wasnt simply because that poem is absolutely beautiful and speaks straight to the heart. No, it was because it followed a speech that was so full of deep family love that it was truly impossible not to be moved. Speaking of the kind of love between soul mates that changes who we are, and the love from parent to child, that is as unconditional as it is infinite, these words took us on a journey that brought us right to Laura and Ken, and to the epic love story they have woven for almost a decade. This is what I have come to appreciate so damn much weddings such as this heart felt rock-me-to-my-core type moments, paired brilliantly right next to moments of pure joy and belly laughs. The energy and love from their 140 strong celebration was incredible, and while early in the day the traditional Greek Orthodox ceremony had me in absolute awe of the traditions long held in their family, it was the party and dance floor that followed that had me desperate to book the next flight to Greece. Laura and Ken, thank you for sharing not simply your day with me, but the love and traditions of your family, and the love and strength of your story. Too deep? Nah, just the god honest truth

05.01.2022 Courtney + Evan Backyard Wedding 932019 Evan & I truly are about good old music & really bad dance moves! Music is constantly playing in our house. We also have an ongoing joke with our families that our house is like an 'op shop' we have great respect for second hand items & people handing down items to us.. It will be a backyard wedding with a thrown together boho vibe.. and we really want everyone having a jiggle with us on the dance floor by the end of the night!... Walking into Courtney and Evans backyard wedding, those first words they spoke to me were playing over in my head. And let me tell you, as soon as I laid eyes on the beautiful set up, I instantly I felt right at home The love and care that had gone into setting up their celebration was so evident in every gorgeous little detail. From the handmade party favours and the hand written signs, to the fairy lights strung up that made our overcast afternoon sky feel like a starry night, it was beautiful. I felt so wonderfully wrapped up in all the memories they had collected and arranged for the celebration, and for all the memories I knew we were soon to make! There wasnt a dry eye in the crowd as they each read your vows And as for the dance moves, I flippin loved em!! The love and good vibes was unbelievably infectious and their wish of having people dancing the night away was achieved before the sun had even set. Courtney + Evan, my rock stars, thank you for welcoming me like an old family friend and sharing your beautiful love story with me.
