25.01.2022 Connection is vital to our mental, physical and emotional health. It’s Easter, so make contact with those you value, even though we may not be able to gather together. Imagine how much we will appreciate it when we can hug the ones we love again. Happy Easter everyone. Connection is vital to our mental, physical and emotional health. 24.01.2022 When you need help to smile, think of Stella in her pile of leaves.

22.01.2022 Some positive help for dealing with fear and other emotions at this time.

20.01.2022 My friend Louise shared this helpful article. Worth the read. If you want a better understanding of how stress impacts our physical and emotional body, and techniques to manage it, contact me.

20.01.2022 Observing the changing light around sunrise and sunset helps establish a healthy circadian rythm, enabling stable sleep patterns.

18.01.2022 Never underestimate the value of routine and ritual in a practice of meditation. My routine is to meditate straight after my morning drink of water after wakin...g. Occasionally I will get distracted to doing something else, like Facebook or making a herbal tea... and then tidying the kitchen, or feeding the cat (truthfully the day almost always starts with feeding the cat ) I digress, and therein is the problem, because if I don’t give my meditation first priority, before I know it the grandies are arriving for the day and my window to meditate is closed. So, decide upon your best time for your practice, where and how, and then stick with it like your life depends on it. Ritual is such an important aspect, because if you break that routine, even for obsessive meditators like me, it’s hard to make the space for it otherwise. See more

17.01.2022 Omg yes. I am on a permanent vacation now. Close to family, or visiting distance ( see you soon Rick and Amanda Hansen) and doing work that’s so enjoyable. From experience, I know we can take a positive attitude to work that must be done, but never to the point we feel enslaved. Life is short, so do work you can find something to enjoy about it. Otherwise reassess your situation.

14.01.2022 If you don’t follow Ian already, then I highly recommend you do. I trust any information he shares on this page about meditation and wellbeing in general, because I know he has researched it from reliable, credible sources. I have been fortunate to have met Ian during my meditation teacher training and conferences, and he is a caring, intelligent and humble person. A truly compassionate and enlightening being. Like his page.

11.01.2022 I keep seeing the words ‘uncertain times’, and at first it was true. There was great uncertainty. I have just been meditating and realized why I find those par...ticular words irritating. Now... We can be certain that this virus is real. We can be certain it has impacted our lives, either directly or indirectly, and for many creating change that is permanent or having far-reaching repercussions. Also for many it is a more temporary impact. I don’t know which it is for you...but... Uncertainty triggers fear, and we don’t need those words engendering more fear around the feeling of powerlessness it implies. So from now on when I see those words, I intend to say aloud... I am certain these times are a time of great change, a time to re-evaluate our life choices, and I am certain I will value each and every day, and only take on the decisions of that day, and be happy and grateful for all that is good in my life. I just wanted to share this insight in case it helps you feel better about today. Peace and love to all dear friends. See more

11.01.2022 "Don’t prioritise your looks my friend, as they won’t last the journey. Your sense of humour though, will only get better with age. Your intuition will grow an...d expand like a majestic cloak of wisdom. Your ability to choose your battles, will be fine-tuned to perfection. Your capacity for stillness, for living in the moment, will blossom. Your desire to live each and every moment will transcend all other wants. Your instinct for knowing what (and who) is worth your time, will grow and flourish like ivy on a castle wall. Don’t prioritise your looks my friend, they will change forevermore, that pursuit is one of much sadness and disappointment. Prioritise the uniqueness that make you you, and the invisible magnet that draws in other like-minded souls to dance in your orbit. These are the things which will only get better." 11.01.2022 Fear is so disabling. Try to recognize when it is robbing you of life’s experience.

09.01.2022 I first heard this over 2 decades ago - and I was moved to my core . . . YOU CREATE YOUR OWN REALITY . . . yep! TRUTH BOMB!

08.01.2022 Sing this song to yourself and believe it. First and foremost, we must love ourself. Have a beautiful week.

04.01.2022 Rose quartz- soothing to the heart and mind. Hold one in your palm while meditating, or in your pocket to touch, especially when feeling a little anxious or pressured.

04.01.2022 Has this experience given you an opportunity for a different perspective of your life? Are there any changes, even simply subtle changes of attitude, that you will make following this experience?

03.01.2022 There’s little doubt the world is going through a period of potential transformation, of possible awakening, which tragically involves loss of life for many, and loss of income for many more. So what to do at this unexpected halt to our lives? First, be present. We face a challenge to practice living in the moment. Not in the past, where what was ‘normal’ has faded. Not in the future where too much is unknown at this point, for which we can prepare as best we can, but may... not be our choosing. Choose gratitude and choose kindness. Fear can blind us to what we have, and cause us to act selfishly; but let’s pass this test of living our values. Easy when life is easy, but can we live our truth under the duress of this trial? Only you can answer, by your choices and your actions. Secondly, let’s use this opportunity to assess where we would like to make some changes to what have been our life choices up til now. I know people who have had cancer and survived, describe it as the best thing that could have happened to them. Why? Because their life as they knew it halted and they had the opportunity to re-invent their life. To choose a life of giving priority to what and who they most valued. We all now have this very same opportunity. The train of everyday commitment has stopped. Jump off, if that’s what you have been wishing for, and begin now to live the life you always yearned for. Don’t allow this amazing opportunity to slip by. Don’t waste this time sitting on the fence waiting for someone else to decide your fate. You choose. Grab paper and a pen and just scribble down any and everything that pops into your mind, and keep doing this until you see clearly what’s in your heart. And perhaps you will discover that you already liked what you had. This too might be enough - a realization that life was/is/will be good. Then be happy.
