24.01.2022 At LBI we are really interested in the topic of 'post-traumatic growth', which refers to positive psychological change that results from the struggle with highly challenging life circumstances. It is something we encourage people, programs and communities to uplift and consider, for themselves and the people they support. For example, there is emerging research to indicate that enhanced 'creativity' may be a by-product of adverse life events, and a post-traumatic growth outc...ome for some people. If you are interested in learning more, we have just updated our resource page on post-traumatic growth here: https://buff.ly/3tZCOnR

21.01.2022 We have just finished a really valuable week sharing conversations with the Ceduna community, and seeking to understand their local needs, strengths and challenges in supporting a wellbeing-responsive local community. There are so many wonderful initiatives already occurring, founded upon a community passionate about making a difference. Building upon these great foundations, a number of locally owned and co-designed well-being projects are emerging as part of The Bush Telegr...aph, an initiative funded under the SA Government Wellbeing Strategy, Led by Wellbeing SA. Thank you to Centacare Catholic Country SA Community Champions Pearl, Tiana, Hayley and Carol for your energy and support. A big thank you also goes to Jen and Greg (LBI Community Development and Wellbeing Practitioners) who have spent the last 11 days on the road across the Eyre Peninsula. Happy Easter and a well deserved rest for everyone who has supported these great conversations on the Eyre Peninsula.

02.01.2022 A couple of great days engaging with the Port Lincoln Community and supporting the development of locally owned well-being projects as part of The Bush Telegraph. Thank you to Centacare Catholic Country SA Community Champions Anne, Katie, Chelsea and Nicole for organising the local engagement and to Jen and Greg (LBI Community Development and Wellbeing Practitioners) who guided the conversations. There was so much energy and commitment to really make a difference in the community.
