25.01.2022 Ingrown toenails can be troublesome and over time become painful, unsightly and an increased infection risk. To permanently resolve reoccurring ingrown toenails a Partial Nail Avulsion (PNA) is a great minimally invasive option. If you suffer from a troublesome ingrown nail, our Podiatrists can assess your toenail and if required surgically remove any unwanted nail spikes. To book an appointment with one of our Podiatrists, Emma Poynton or Scott Murray, call our reception team on 9885 8961 or book via our website www.lifecare.com.au/clin/lifecare-ashburton-sports-medicine

24.01.2022 Commonly known as a 'moon boot' a CAM Boot or Walker is used to aid in the recovery of foot and ankle injuries. They control the alignment and reduce the movement of the bones and joints in your lower leg and foot. Our Podiatrists, Emma Poynton and Scott Murray, are professionally trained in fitting CAM Boots. To book an appointment with one of our practitioners call our reception team on 9885 8961 or book via our website www.lifecare.com.au/clin/lifecare-ashburton-sports-medicine

18.01.2022 Hi everyone! Lifecare Ashburton remains open for business as usual at this time. 12.01.2022 Have you suddenly increased your walking and/or running? Due to the Covid-19 induced gym, pool and organised sport closures, many of us are out waking and running around our local neighbourhood footpaths. This is resulting in a higher presentation of overuse injuries of the foot, ankle and knee in our clinic. If you have had an onset of lower limb pain due to a recent change in activity patterns, or if you would benefit from a consult on choosing the right footwear for your specific biomechanics and activity, our Podiatrists can assess your setup. To book an appointment with one of our podiatrists, Emma Poynton or Scott Murray, call our reception team on 9885 8961 or book via our website www.lifecare.com.au/clin/lifecare-ashburton-sports-medicine

11.01.2022 Both acute and stress fractures of the foot are problems that require a Podiatrist. If you are suffering foot pain, and suspect you have a foot fracture, our Podiatrists are available for either face-to-face or telehealth consultations. If it’s determined you require imaging (i.e. X-ray and MRI), our Podiatrists can write you the required referral. To book an appointment with one of our podiatrists, Emma Poynton or Scott Murray, call our reception team on 9885 8961 or book via our website www.lifecare.com.au/clin/lifecare-ashburton-sports-medicine

11.01.2022 A Podiatry General Treatment (GT) is the perfect solution for getting your feet happy again. 04.01.2022 With social distancing being the dominant strategy nation-wide for the minimisation of spread of COVID-19 / Coronavirus, the ongoing pandemic is seeing more and more people being advised to stay at home and to take work home wherever possible. Whilst the older population and those with chronic health conditions or impaired immune systems are fundamentally our main health concern when talking about COVID-19, this is not to say that other health conditions or populations shou...ld be ignored. Like most medical and allied health clinics around the country, we are offering TELEHEALTH consults at Lifecare Ashburton Sports Medicine for all of our services, in particular for certain groups that may be more vulnerable (e.g. the older populations, this with chronic medical conditions or immuno-compromise). It is important to understand that whilst some practitioners are choosing to consult by Telehealth alone, most of our practitioners are still able to see patients face-to face in the clinic if need be. To learn more about the practise of TELEHEALTH and its benefits, click here to read a blog co-authored by one of our Specialist Sport & Exercise Medicine Physicians - Dr Stuart Down: https://www.lifecare.com.au//telehealth-what-is-it-all-ab/
