24.01.2022 Covid Catch Up - Maddy Since the start of lockdowns we’ve been enjoying our time at home with family. We’ve connected with friends over FaceTime and have been exercising as a family. Sunday yoga is our rest day!
23.01.2022 Scott Morrison has announced that Physiotherapy is still considered essential service. Multiple news stations incorrectly reported that Physiotherapy would be closed, however this has since been corrected. For now, WE ARE OPEN. However, we are taking this situation very seriously and are encouraging our patients to consider Telehealth. Our physiotherapists will be able provide video consultations to assist you while you stay within your home.... We are still seeing patients in the clinic to help ease the burden on GPs and the Hospital. Were continuing to take every precaution necessary to keep you and our team safe. Thank you for continuing to trust us with your health.
23.01.2022 Covid Catch Up - Danielle Ive been using the extra time at home during Covid19 to spend time with my family and focus on my fitness. Ive been trying to keep it interesting with a mix of running, yoga, Pilates & HIIT workouts. I also took up baking but there is definitely a fair bit of room for improvement. Im really looking forward to the final regional restrictions lifting so I can visit my family, and Oushk reopening so I can get my acai bowl fix.
23.01.2022 Massive congratulations to one of our clients over the past few years Jesse Mirco . We are so proud of you Jesse and cant wait to follow your journey over the next few years
22.01.2022 Covid Catch Up - Loren During Covid19 I have enjoyed getting creative with exercise. Before Covid19 I only attended gym classes, so Ive liked choosing what exercises I do based on how I feel. Im also studying nursing at Curtin and love spending extra time with my dog! I look forward to seeing my dad who lives overseas when borders open.

19.01.2022 The boys are back! Our Physio Feisal is looking after the Under 16’s at East Fremantle Football Club. After a long break between centre bounces, they return to the field this Sunday. Footy is back
19.01.2022 Our very own Physiotherapist Feisal Zaw recently wrote a blog for Melville Mums. With the return or winter sports comes the return of sore joints and muscles. Check out this guide for parents preparing their children for a return to the field
19.01.2022 Being injured doesnt mean you should stop training altogether Great quote by Phil Glasgow!
19.01.2022 Guess what?! Our studio rehabilitation classes are back up and running this week. Were continuing to maintain our highest hygiene standards and adequate distancing between clients to meet the current guidelines. We cant wait to see you all back in the gym!

18.01.2022 Covid Catch Up - Jon Its been a tough few months facing the reality of Covid-19, but it also feels like time has passed by rather quickly. In the early weeks of lockdown I spent time working on my slow cooker game and have been fighting for household scrabble bragging rights. I was just passing 7 months post-op from my ACL reconstruction when Covid lockdowns took effect. With gyms closing we resorted to home workouts and it allowed me to focus on running, one of things Ive missed most since injuring my knee. With restrictions continuing to ease, Im most looking forward to seeing live music again. Lastly, I want to thank everyone in my team at Point Walter. Im incredibly proud of the way our group has worked together to navigate through this tough time and feel very fortunate to have their support.
18.01.2022 Our Lifefit classes return this Monday 22nd of June at Leisurefit Melville! Joan will be taking Monday 3:45pm and Friday 1pm classes. Jordan will be taking Tuesday and Thursday morning at 7:30am. We cant wait to see you all!
17.01.2022 Covid Catch Up - Sally As we emerge into the new normal it's been great to see so many clients back in the studio. I look forward to when it's appropriate for everyone to return. During the time out I took the opportunity to escape our busy household and the home schooling and explore some of Perth's lovely cycle paths. I was reminded how important fresh air and exercise are for our physical and mental well-being. I plan to continue my bike rides as I have found it so enjoyable!
17.01.2022 Blog originally published on Melville Mums website - https://melvillemums.com.au/managing-the-return-to-sport-e/ We were recently featured on the Melville Mums blog, discussing returning to junior sports after lockdowns. Our blog authored by Physiotherapists Feisal Zaw & Jonathan Tan is now up on our website!
16.01.2022 Congratulations Jack! We’re so excited for you as you start your AFL journey. Good luck!
15.01.2022 ROTATOR CUFF WALL CLIMB The reality were faced with today has flipped our lives upside down. Staying at home to self-isolate or socially distance yourself doesnt mean you need to stop taking care of yourself. Heres a great exercise you can easily perform at home with a piece of theraband. This exercise aims to improve scapula stability and rotator cuff endurance. Have a read of our physiotherapist Danielles blog about COVID-19 and Exercise. Link in our bio
15.01.2022 Covid Catch Up - Sarah During Covid19, I have enjoyed having extra time at home. I completed a 30 day yoga challenge - which wasnt easy, despite being a Pilates instructor! I have also read the Harry Potter series in full, dabbled in baking and enjoyed going for walks in different locations. My favourite part about the extra spare time has been spending even more time with my dog, Charlie.
15.01.2022 Check out this great little video from Chien-Yi on some simple leg exercises for home. After watching the video have a read of her great blog too. https://www.lifecare.com.au//why-not-try-something-a-litt/ #clinicalexercise #worksmallmusclestoo
14.01.2022 There have been some positive signs here in WA with low numbers of new COVID-19 cases. Our Pilates trained physiotherapists are continuing to provide one-on-one consultations for Studio Rehabilitation. If youre managing a chronic condition it is important you keep you moving, whether that be at home, outside or here with us. Our group Studio Rehab sessions will hopefully return soon.
14.01.2022 We have screens! As we continue to provide face-to-face appointments, were continuing to ensure our staff and clients are safe through this challenging time. We are open Saturday from 8am to 2pm, have a great weekend

10.01.2022 Covid Catch Up - Jordan Ive been making the most of the extra free time during covid to catch up on some DIY projects and gardening at home. Given my water polo season was cut short I have been trying to keep up my fitness by battling through a few runs. Im looking forward to being able to go out for a casual meal with friends, no longer having to go for runs, and getting back down to the footy club when the season resumes.
10.01.2022 Covid Catch Up - Katie I’m a pretty solo person at the best of times so COVID didn’t affect my social life too much. I have continued my daily beach walks and have had the time to start reading, which I hope to continue when things go back to normal. I’ve enjoyed the weekend getaways, disappearing without a plan & sleeping under the stars and getting creative with the home workouts. I’m most looking forward to the zoo & animal parks reopening!
10.01.2022 Due to the rapid and unexpected financial impact of the COVID-19 virus, East Fremantle Football Club are urgently needing to raise funds to help overcome this crisis. Without football the ability to generate income is lost. This present a significant challenge to this great club. Weve been supporting East Freo for nearly 20 years and cant wait to see them back on the field. 09.01.2022 COVID-19 is affecting us all. Social distancing and self isolation doesnt mean you need to stop exercising and taking care of your health. Our Physiotherapist Danielle Howson discusses are few options to keep you moving during this difficult time.
08.01.2022 Covid Catch Up - Emma During Covid-19 lockdowns I’ve enjoyed taking the days slowly and spending more down time with my family. I’ve been trying to keep my fitness up with different online classes while juggling my toddler who always tries to join in Unfortunately we were supposed to get married in May, so Im looking forward to the restrictions being lifted further and our new wedding date going ahead.
08.01.2022 Our sharks boys are in the Preliminary Final this weekend against Subi. Our physiotherapist Jordan will be on the sidelines, ready to help the team. Get em boys! #gosharks
07.01.2022 COVID CATCH UP - Feisal Ive been keeping busy during covid by picking up some new hobbies. Ive started what I very loosely call yoga and have also picked up drawing. This time has also lined up with Ramadan which involves me fasting through daylight hours with no food or drink. Ive had to schedule more intense cardio workouts towards the end of the fast in the evening and save my energy with easy workouts in the morning. Im not setting any PBs but it keeps me fit and ready for when soccer begins again.
06.01.2022 Covid Catch Up - Suzi Ive been doing a lot of cooking during this time, particularly meals that I normally dont have time for in my busy schedule. My roommates and I have spent Friday nights cooking together, our favourite meal would have to be dumplings. It has definitely brought us closer together. At the beginning, I really struggled to find motivation to exercise when Im not locked into a gym class. Now I use different apps to keep fit. Im excited for restaurants and gyms to reopen and spending more time with my friends once everything is up and running.

05.01.2022 Although Physiotherapy has still been considered an essential service in Australia, during the outbreak of Covid-19 you may prefer not to leave your home. Our Physiotherapists can provide a thorough diagnostic assessment, prescribe exercises for home based rehabilitation and discuss various pain management strategies all through a video consultation. Give us a call if youd like more information - 9438 3444

04.01.2022 We are almost ready to return to sport! Many of us have already started or are preparing for a return to training soon. Covid-19 is a strange time in which we have no template for best management. Athletes ranging from elite sportspeople to weekend-warriors have spent hours training and preparing over summer for winter sport before suddenly having to change their entire plan. Its important that you get your body right over this next month in preparation for a return to what you love. Depending on your sport, specific strength training, running and recovery should be put it place to minimise your risk of injury. If you need help structuring this, we can assist you
03.01.2022 We are ready to take Telehealth consultations at Lifecare Point Walter. If you are self isolating or would prefer to avoid coming to the clinic, this may be the option for you. 02.01.2022 COVID CATCH UP - Erin Since social distancing started, Ive been completing my end of semester exams for nursing at Notre Dame. Ive started reading more books, been staying active by walking or running each day and have started yoga. Ive spent quality time with my family since were all stuck with each other, but its been nice! With restrictions being lifted, Ive started to see my friends again which has been great, but Im most looking forward to seeing my grandparents again.
