21.01.2022 Thanks to the University of Minnesota for their study notes! I think we all secretly know how good being outside feels. Nature Heals Being in nature reduces anger, fear and stress. Immersing yourself in nature not only can make you feel better emotionally but it also contributes to your physical wellbeing, reducing bloody pressure, heart rate, muscle tension and the production of stress hormones. Nature Soothes Nature can also help us cope with pain and discomfort. ...We get distracted from our pain and discomfort because we are genetically programmed to find trees, plants, water and other natural elements engrossing. Nature Restores Time in nature increases our ability to pay attention. Because humans find nature interesting, we can naturally focus on what we are experiencing out in nature. This also provides our overactive minds a break. Nature Connects Studies have shown that nature ignites the parts of our brain associated with empathy and love. It appears nature inspires feelings that connect us with the environment and each other. How does being in nature make you feel? Maybe a stroll through the hinterland is on the cards for this weekend.

04.01.2022 Here are some facts we found which you may not know about magnesium and why its important. Magnesium is the fourth most abundant mineral in your body and plays a massive role in over 600 reactions in the body. This includes converting food to energy, creating new protiens from amino acids, repairing your DNA, muscle movement and it also is involved in nervous system regulation. Magnesium also plays a role in exercise performance. It helps move blood sugar to your muscl...es and dispose of lactate acid which can build up during activity and cause fatigue. Sciene has mixed feelings as to it being beneficial or not for those who have a good level of magnesium. Magnesium plays a critial role in brain function and mood. Increasing your intake can increase your mood Magnesium also benefits those with type 2 diabetes. Studies suggest that about 48% of people with type 2 diabetes have low levels of MG in their blood. This can impair insulin's ability to keep blood sugar levels under control. Another study showed that people with type 2 taking high doses of magnesium each day expereinced significant improvments in bloody sugar and hemoglobin A1c levels. This is great news! Do you suffer from high blood pressure? Studies have shown that taking magnesium can lover blood pressure. It has anti-inflammatory benefits. Low magnesium intake is linked to chronic inflammation. This is a driving force of aging, obestity and chronic diesease. CPR is a marker in your blood for inflammation. Inflammation in the body can be caused by a number of factors.
