15.01.2022 **URGENT POST Please Read** With continued restrictions put in place in the last few days we have had to increase the restrictions applied with in Lifegate Community Foodcare. Limit of 2 people in the Pantry room at a time.... Where possible, please leave the children at home. If you have no one else to care for them, please contact us and we will make alternative arrangements for you. (Nursing babies accepted) Come by yourself unless you need assistance to carry things. EFT transactions preferred. Please respect social distancing rules * Place your hamper on the table, take a step back and allow our volunteers to count it. *please try not to handle all the fresh produce We thank you for your patience in how we are having to proceed at this time. 12.01.2022 Christine Welsh set me a challenge - devise a week’s worth of meals for a family of four from the Sapphire Community Pantry... I spent around $30 at the pantry,... and another $30 at the supermarket and butcher. I’ll put pictures of what I bought in the comments. Here’s DAY ONE of our meals. Look in the comments on each photo for costings and recipes. We also had 2 cups of instant coffee each (2x 10c), a mandarin (15c) and a granola bar (25c), a total of $3.44 per person. The Sapphire Community Pantry is a WONDERFUL institution, staffed mostly by volunteers who work tirelessly to provide low cost food to those in need in the local community. Like me you might be thinking That’s not for me, it’s for people who really need it however as Christine has explained, by shopping there, in particular buying some of the more exotic items which don’t sell as quickly, we can actually help with their turnover and income. I’ve tried to use some of those more exotic items, hopefully to inspire others to use them. You can also add a donation in with your purchases if you’re feeling a bit guilty! 06.01.2022 Hi We will be open this Thursday, 9:30am-5:30pm. We will be continuing with the same guidelines as last week. Thank you for being supportive last week and putting up with the measures that we have had to put into place. we will continue to run as long as we can. 05.01.2022 Thanks to Monaro Milk and Juice we have fresh milk and pure cream, flavoured milk as well. There will be limits on the milk. If you love cooking, or just love cream, we have 2L and 3L bottles of pure cream. Available tomorrow but need to be used by within a few days.

01.01.2022 Hi, everyone. Just letting all our customers know we are still open this Thursday and hope to continue as long as is possible. We restock through the day so no need to come first thing if you don't want to wait for long periods. Same as last week. No more than 4 in the food room... Limit of 2 on all products unless other wise stated No Morning tea provided, customers to wait out side till called.
