25.01.2022 Some great news with Molong Pool being the first of the LSA Venues to receive its COVID Safe badge, we are looking forward to having the venue reopen to the public in October this year. All of our Venues have been evaluated and assessed against the NSW Government requirements to be COVID Safe. This has included detailed risk assessments in line with our ISO Safety accreditation, COVID 19 rules, infection procedure training, changes to lap usage, social distancing and the pro...vision of hand sanitization units to the public. 23.01.2022 A message from our CEO in response to COVID-19 LSA Management and our BCP Working Group have been working with our partners, key suppliers and other stakeholders on the COVID-19 situation since January 2020. With current advice and restrictions with social distancing, internal capacity and external capacity numbers being legislated and our legal requirements for our own staff health & safety, LSA has implemented a range of actions across all of our venues and operations, the...se include but are not limited to: Public advice to cleaning and handwashing Increased risk assessments for public gatherings and event safety services All Fitness and Learn to swim classes have been cancelled Specific staff resources and advice has been provided for staff on our staff Intranet All face to face training programs have been cancelled All management and support staff have been set up to work remotely Increased cleaning schedules and deep clean cycles on ALL our venues All of our seasonal swimming centres are currently scheduled to remain open until the end of March 2020 Our commitment to our Full-time and Permanent Part Time staff and their families is paramount. As an employer, LSA has committed to keep all full-time employees on full wages and ensure access to flexible and remote locations and systems of work. All of these actions have been done to mitigate the risk to our user groups, the community, our staff and their families. The coming six months will test us as a community and a country. 23.01.2022 Today we received notification that both pools in Dungog Shire Council contract have received their COVID Safe approvals. The COVID Safe plans are now in place for both Dungog Swimming Pool and Clarence Town Pool. Of course these plans are in line with all pools across the state including social distancing rules, maximum pool lane numbers, maximum capacity numbers, sign and sign out procedures for casual non pass holders, hand washing procedures, equipment sanitization and... increased cleaning schedules. 01.01.2022 This weekend, our lifeguard teams will start the transition back to our standard beach patrol locations. The Eurobodalla Emergency Operations Centre Says swim...ming at beaches and waterways should still be avoided. As a result our beaches are still closed this weekend. Since NYE our lifeguards along with volunteers from local surf clubs have performed rescues, evacuated countless people, worked community safe locations, provided first aid stations and even manned road blocks. We have also recieved support and offers for assistance from other councils and council lifeguards services @apola such as Coffs Harbour, Waverly, Wollongong and Kiama councils. We would like to thank the public that helped our teams of Lifeguards and Lifesavers by following our directions, offering assistance and providing us everything from food and water to a handshake. The task undertaken by Eurobodalla council, the @RFSNSW @nswpolice and the Eurobodalla Emergency Operations Centre was mammoth and we are proud to contribute to the overall response effort and help.our community in its time of need. We still have a long way to go, from Monday our lifeguards will be back on the sand along councils 8 patrolled locations and although the water quality might keep the beaches closed we will be there.
