25.01.2022 ABS statistics announcement reports that in 2019 there were 3,318 lives lost to suicide. Behind the statistics are stories of loved ones; sons, daughters, brothers, sisters, mums, dads, uncles, aunties, friends and colleagues. We understand this news may cause emotional distress to those living with loss of a loved one and lived experience of suicide. 19.01.2022 World Suicide Prevention Day is on the 10th of September. Each year Lifeline North Coast come together to walk Out of the Shadows and into the light with the community to remember those lost to suicide and raise awareness for suicide prevention. This year we are coming together in a different way. At 6 am on Thursday 10th, we will be going live virtually to stay safe during this current environment. We invite you to join us between 6 am and 7 am to come together and support e...ach other virtually. At our shops we will have a commemorative wall for those who have lost someone to suicide or want to show their support. Each flower will either represent someone lost to suicide or show someone's support. This wall will stay in our shops for all of September. We will also be providing a stall with material and support on this day. We look forward to seeing on online and at our shops. We are seeking donations of high-quality furniture! If you have furniture that you want to donate, please send some photos to 0431511482, and we will coordinate our team to pick it up. We will store all donated items for a minimum of 72 hours before the items will be made available to the publ...ic. Thank you for helping us save lives!

04.01.2022 Thank you to the nib foundation and nib health insurance for providing a welcome funding boost to help expand our Lifeline Text service and help reach more people in need. The COVID-19 pandemic has taken an unprecedented toll on the mental health and wellbeing of Australians, with Lifeline receiving a call for support every 30 seconds. This funding will help us expand our text-based service, allowing us to train 60 new Text Crisis Support volunteers and ensuring we can be there to support an additional 10,000 crisis support interventions. Most importantly, this funding means Australians can rest assured knowing there will be someone on the other end of their text to listen and support them through, what we know, are difficult times. If you are need support, Lifeline Text is available nightly, 6pm midnight (AEST) on 0477 13 11 14.
