06.01.2022 Many of us probably think its a pretty nice life being a vet. What we often overlook is theres no Medicare for pets and being a vet often brings struggles with stress, financial pressure, long hours, and emotional dilemmas. In our latest Holding on to Hope podcast episode we hear from Oliver, who built his practice from scratch while also inventing equipment and training undergraduates. At the same time, he was trying to raise a family and eventually it all became too muc...h. Listen to how Oliver now personally manages the stresses of his much loved profession and how he has found hope by speaking out about suicide rates among vets, alerting others to the problem and encouraging them to get help. Holding on to Hope can be downloaded at: www.lifeline.org.au/podcast or wherever you get your podcasts.
