01.01.2022 Volunteers are the heart of Lifeline Adelaide, thanks to our dedicated Crisis Supporters who answer calls for help from people in crisis. Today marks the start of National Volunteers Week and wed like to say a huge thank you to all who give their time and skills to this critical community service - especially over recent months, when they have been responding to record numbers of calls. Says Lifeline Chairman, John Brogden:... "We celebrate our volunteers every year, but this year is especially remarkable. Its been a difficult year for Lifeline with increased calls coming in from the start of the bushfire season and then increasing again without respite through COVID-19. This year, more than any other, we wanted to make sure our volunteers are aware of how much we at Lifeline appreciate their support."

01.01.2022 Were encouraged by the Federal Governments announcement of $1.5m in funding to establish 13 HELP - a new dedicated phoneline for people in bushfire affected communities. Anyone who has been impacted by the recent bushfires, or who needs information on services available in their community, will be able to call the line to receive support and referrals. The line will be active in the next few weeks - in the meantime, people in need of support can call our 24-hour crisis line on 13 11 14.
