25.01.2022 On Saturday 23rd January Triple J has nominated Lifeline as its charity partner for 2021. Even the healthiest of us have experienced a struggle with our mental health, for some this struggle runs much deeper. Studies show that music can play a vital role improving and positively influencing our mental health and find that opening up a discussion with our peers can reduce symptoms of depression. We are currently putting together a playlist and ask you to share you favourite up...lifting songs. Add your favourite up lifting song below in the comments will then be downloaded onto our very own Lifeline Spotify Playlist. If you are joining in the countdown share how you are connecting to your friends and family by tagging #lifelinedirect #lifelinedirect #musicheals #hottest100 #triplejhottest100 #mentalhealthmatters #mentalhealthawareness #mentalhealth #lifeline

24.01.2022 It’s not too late to run the Fernleigh15 #growinggreatertogether

23.01.2022 The Fernleigh 15 will take on a new format in 2020 with an event that will keep the community active while supporting the mental health of people across the Hunter and beyond. The 2020 Fernleigh 15 has linked with Lifeline Hunteras the charity partner.... Greater Bank will donate to Lifeline $1.00 per kilometre run by participants as part of the event up to $5000 and is also encouraging participants to raise funds for the charity that will support Lifeline’s services here in the Hunter. To register or for more information visit https://greater-bank-virtual-fun-run-fernleigh15.raisely.co or email [email protected]

They are an invaluable component of our team locally, and play an essential role in delivery of support services, retail offerings and fundraising activities. 16.01.2022 FERNLEIGH 15 GOES VIRTUAL

16.01.2022 In 2019 Adrian Byrnes joined his cousin on a challenge to walk & exercise every morning before the sun rose during summer. On the last day of summer, he decided to keep going through winter. After 10 straight days of taking photographs down at Shelly Beach pre-dawn he decided to explore further and take photos at different beaches on the Central Coast. He soon discovered how blessed we are with our magnificent coastline. This is where the story of the calendars began... Due ...to the success of the calendars in 2020, which saw over $3,000 donated to Lifeline, Adrian repeated the exercise this winter (2020). Adrian kindly donates all proceeds from the calendars to Lifeline Central Coast to support local suicide prevention services. To purchase a 2021 Winter Sunrise Calendar visit https://www.lifelinedirect.org.au/2021calendar but be quick as there are limited numbers.

This World Mental Health Day we need to make a commitment to ourselves, and each other, to encourage helpseeking behaviour. When we break a bone, we recognise, acknowledge and treat the problem. We need to do the same with our mental health. Asking for help is a strength and a step on your journey.... If you are struggling, please reach out to someone you trust, make an appointment with your GP or pick up the phone and give us a call. We’re here for you 24/7 on 13 11 14. If you don’t feel like talking you can use our text service. Lifeline Text is available, 6pm midnight (AEDT) on 0477 13 11 14.

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people were Australia’s first explorers, first navigators, first engineers, first farmers, first botanists, first scientists, first diplomats, first astronomers and first artists. NAIDOC 2020 invites all Australians to embrace the true history of this country and to celebrate and take pride in having the oldest continuing cultures on the planet. If you are struggling and need help, please reach out to us on 13 11 14.
