25.01.2022 Our Lifeline Truck is here to pick up large donations of books around the Illawarra for our Big Book Fairs. A big thank you to Kraken Kreative for coming up with the design and helping us to illustrate how every donation and every purchase from Lifeline helps us to save lives.



24.01.2022 READY TO GO! We are thrilled to be opening the doors to our famous Big Book Fair from 9AM Friday at the the Illawarra Sports Stadium, Berkeley! It's our largest fundraising event of the year, with all proceeds to go towards suicide prevention services in the Illawarra and South Coast region. Here's what you need to know:... We are registered as a COVID Safe event, your assistance to keep everyone safe will be appreciated. We strongly encourage you to wear a facemask. If you are sick, please do the right thing and stay at home. Please scan in using the supplied QR code or use the sign in sheet. It is also a small donation on entry via the donation tap machine. Use the hand sanitiser provided on entry and during your time at the book fair, observe good hygiene. Practice social distancing while browsing, queueing and moving from one room to the next. The stadium has air conditioning this year. Yes, Eftpos is available and we encourage contactless payments. And YES you can donate books at the book fair! There will be a spot to donate them. "New Years Day" shares the untold stories of brave and empowered young women through the Currowan Bushfire last summer. This short film was made to elevate the voices of brave, resilient young women in the South Coast region.

14.01.2022 Everyone experiences emotional distress in dierent ways. Not everyone who is having a difficult time will show outward signs however, there are signs to look out for if you are worried about someone. While checking in and asking if they are okay might seem like a difficult conversation to have, it could be a life-saving one. If you are concerned that someone is at-risk of suicide and you aren't sure how to talk to them, you can call Lifeline for advice on 13 11 14. Or, you can call us while you're with them and we can help you have the conversation.

We are so appreciative of the support we received from our community in creating such a successful and safe event. As our major fundraising event it is critical to the ongoing and expanding suicide prevention and crisis support services we provide. We will provide all the training to you to ensure you are qualified to offer a high standard of crisis support that keeps people safe.
