The TEA House Tables will truly make a trip to the country a magical moment of mosaic musings so, wander out and take a peek. Imagine the quiet and still of an idyllic country setting, sipping organic teas, savouring nourishing house-made food while sitting around stunning mosaic tables, pondering the many wellness activities you can immerse yourself into.... The TEA-House is open Wednesdays, Fridays and alternate Saturdays and Sundays. There are a variety of menu options and sitting times throughout the day: Low Tea: traditional fruit scones and butter Devonshire Tea: historic morning tea of scones, jam and cream Mid Tea: a delightful mix of scones and sandwiches High Tea: a luxury lunchtime feast of scones, sandwiches and a mix of sweet and savoury plates. Tea and Tapas: a sumptuous selection of savoury delights, tapas treats and delicious sweets; a perfect afternoon delight. 15.01.2022 MAGIC OF MOSAICS - SHED UPDATE: Even though the mosaic season is over (April - September), we still have activity happening. Some of us are mosaic tragics! (1) A gorgeous beginner round (mandala) coming together nicely.... (2) Update on ongoing table inserts (two in total) with this stunning one coming along beautifully. (3) A new table by me to add to my ongoing collection -- you can never have too many mosaic tables. This one is an 800 wide round table on pedestal (cafe style) base. (4) Update on the beautiful geometric design of this stunning coffee table. Stunning is absolutely the right word to describe these pieces as they unfold. The colour choices, even though they may take a bit of placing and picking up, just pop when you have it right -- stunning is sooooo the best word. Workshops, commissions, sales, tea house musings are all available in the off season by appointment. 08.01.2022 Mosaic Association of Australia and New Zealand (MAANZ). On Wednesday October 14 the WA Chapter of MAANZ came to visit me in Toodyay. What a wonderful experience. The group of women gathered at the Toodyay Train Station around 10am and we wandered up to mine for a fabulous gathering and morning tea provided by MAANZ WA and organised by the WA Representative - Dorothy Burke. I took the opportunity (of course) to promote my NEW Tea House Tables offering -- wonderful Organic C...ertified Australian teas from Victoria. We chatted about mosaics, heard about MAANZ events and simply had a lovely time, culminating in lunch at our very own Victoria Hotel Toodyay. 01.01.2022 SHED Update: a glorious week of Mosaics with many projects progressing, some completed and always something new on the go. (1) Table project a fabulous colourful geometric design. I have pics of the design being created (I’ll post these another time) the precision is impressive. (2) Table project 2 inserts taking shape in rounds with a stunning floral design. The precision with shapes is perfect.... (3) Mandala complete. Absolutely stunning floral concept with movement and colour. Grouted today - a bit hot but we managed. (3) Mandala complete. Testing a few muted colour tiles with this piece. Pretty good, I reckon. We took time out earlier and explored the interpretive art installation at the bird hide, Redbank pool. Glorious opportunity to show off a bit of #Toodyay to my mosaic guests. #magicofmosaics #9dimensionsofwellness
