15.01.2022 As storytellers, we are often saddened to hear phrases like these, because they just aren't true. "I have no stories." "I could never tell a story." "I wish I was interesting enough to tell a story. My life is boring."... As you've probably heard, tomorrow night Life Out Loud is holding its first online show. And we're going to address these comments, and help you understand exactly how YOU can identify stories from your life to tell. There is some basic story fundamentals and processes that make finding stories not only possible, but easy. So if you've ever had any of the thoughts up above, come along and enjoy our short information session as part of the show, on how you can start preparing your first story. It's our goal to empower new storytellers every show, and we'd like to start with you, our audience, without whom these shows would not even exist. 14.01.2022 One of our greatest inspirations for Life Out Loud is the amazing international storytelling organisation, The Moth. I was very excited to attend the San Francisco GrandSLAM last night, which showcased 10 extraordinary storytellers that had won contest nights in the past. Whilst we aren’t competing at Life Out Loud, I learned a lot which we can bring back to make our events even better! When I wasn’t simply in awe of the wonderful storytellers, of course. ... ~ Joshua Morotti P.S. 30 minutes before the show and people were struggling to find seats in the 1400 person theatre - a huge and excited audience!
