22.01.2022 CHILD CAR SAFETY TIPS: Have you ever questioned: Is your harness snug enough? To tell if your childs harness is tight enough, perform the simple PINCH test. 1.... Secure your child in the car seat and buckle the harness as usual. 2. Using your thumb and pointer finger, try to pinch one of the harness straps at your childs collarbone level. If youre able to pinch the strap, the harness is not tight enough. You should not be able to pinch any excess webbing. #SafetyLeaders #ThinkOfWhoYouAreSaving See more

The children particually enjoyed this activity! Educator will extend on this activity with a variety of puppets to further engage and develop the children's imagination. 01.01.2022 "Mixed age group learning is powerful... and may be one of the most valuable gifts we can give children for their years to come" Here is a beautiful blog articl...e on the benefits of mixed age groups from the perspective of this particular teacher: http://blog.tinkergarten.com///the-power-of-mixed-age-play At The Nature School we experience, observe and enjoy the early years program where children aged 3-6 play together, learn from each other and bring back that feeling of growing up in a community, where people aren't all the same age or from the same background, where everyone has something special to contribute and is an essential piece of the team. The Nature School Primary will start with K - 2 also in a mixed age group environment and we really look forward to seeing that continuation of care and learning flourish within the Port Macquarie community. Thank you for being part of it!
01.01.2022 Myself and my family have been very busy creating this large table top sensory box.. I got to researching how to make some very polular Kinetic sand! And inside after a little trial and error I think I have created something a little more like 'Moon sand' ha This soft moudling sand seems very theriputic to the mind and body (after a littleplay time myself...) :) This activity will lead to as many play scenes as the child's knowledge and imagination will extend!!
01.01.2022 The Goulburn Valley is currently experiencing an outbreak of both Influenza and Gastroenteritis. Unfortunately, Tatura has also had confirmed cases of both. If... you are experiencing symptoms, try to stay at home resting and taking care of yourself. Both these illnesses are amazingly contagious. Wash your hands....all the time, with soap or handwash and warm water. Use hand sanitizer. Do it after doing anything and everything, it is so easy and the best way to protect yourself and others. If you have been unwell or are starting to feel unwell with symptoms of either the Flu or Gastro, try to minimise or if possible, avoid contact with other people until at least 48 hours after the last of your symptoms has passed. Do not go to work. Keep your kids home from kinder, school or daycare if they are displaying any symptoms. Most importantly, stay away from babies and young children, the elderly, people with chronic illnesses and pregnant women. Do not visit anyone in Hospitals, Nursing Homes or Aged care Facilities. If you think you may have either of these illnesses and need to see a Doctor, we are here to help. Please advise our Receptionists of your symptoms when you call to make your appointment. Hopefully, by taking a few precautions we can avoid a major outbreak in our town. Stay well and take care everyone. See more
