24.01.2022 The #Lifesaver23 crew from #Moruya base were alerted yesterday of a possible whale carcass floating near local beaches with a number of sharks following it. The crew located the deceased whale and alerted local Surf Life Saving NSW clubs and other authorities. Today a check on it found it washed up near #BarlingsBeach. #lifesaverhelo

14.01.2022 Earlier today the Westpac Lifesaver 21 crew were tasked to reports of 3 lost divers involved in a chartered diving experience 5 nautical miles off South Head Sydney. Along with Marine Area Command - NSW Police Force vessels and PolAir we were deployed and an extensive search commenced. We located the 3 divers some distance from the their vessel, deployed a rescue crew into the water to check on them and worked with Police to recover them to safety, all safe and well. #lucky #lifesaverhelo

10.01.2022 #onthisday On the 1st December 2010, Lifesaver 23 began operating on the NSW south coast out of Moruya Airport. Initially planned as a three year trial over summer, its value was quickly recognised in the first summer and when it returned for the second season, it never left. In the last 10 years the crew of Lifesaver 23 have operated, not only in the coastal rescue envirnoment, but have been deployed to multiple large scale flood events, searches over the Snowy Mountains, an...d during last summers bushfire emergency providing valuable intelligence. The crew of Lifesaver 23 would like thank their emergency services partners for their continued support over the years, as well as our local supporters for sharing your beautiful coast with us and letting us call it home. #lifesaver23 Surf Life Saving Australia Surf Life Saving NSW Surf Life Saving Far South Coast Batemans Bay SLSC Moruya Surf Life Saving Club Narooma Surf Club Bermagui Surf Life Saving Club Tathra Surf Life Saving Club Pambula Beach Surf Club NSW Police Force Marine Area Command - NSW Police Force South Coast Police District NSW Ambulance Fire and Rescue NSW Fire and Rescue NSW Station 384 Moruya Fire and Rescue NSW Station 217 Batemans Bay NSW SES NSW SES South Eastern Zone NSW SES Batemans Bay Unit NSW SES Moruya Unit NSW Rural Fire Service Narooma Rescue Squad - NSW Volunteer Rescue Association Inc.

09.01.2022 Some terrible weather and we know despite best intentions things can go wrong. So don’t forget to check the weather, check your gear and don’t risk your life. Please also remember to let others know you are safe and report if something has happened so others don’t go looking for you if they don’t need to!

09.01.2022 We joined in with a number of emergency services as part of a training exercise, simulating an aeroplane crash at sea off Sydney Airport, including Marine Area Command - NSW Police Force, NSW Police Force, Marine Rescue NSW, Fire and Rescue NSW, Surf Life Saving NSW, NSW Rural Fire Service and a number of others. Great collaboration and team work.
