24.01.2022 Many times we hear ‘say NO to Bullying’ It’s not that easy when the bully is at school and walks past you everyday... and nobody hears your cry for help! I need to say loudly that some people do hear and want to help! So no matter how small you feel, no matter how many times you have been ignored, and regardless of others opinions.... keep speaking!! Keep saying no to the bully!!... There are people who do care and want to help, you just need to be patient, we are listening, we want to help... I call BS on these people who say they want to help and can not have the decency to even do their job, to protect the children in their care and have integrity in telling the ‘bully’ to stop engaging in behaviour that adversely affects other students. It is not often that I speak so strongly. Today I have another case involving school bullying and another school who will potentially say, ‘they are doing all they can for the interest of all their students’. With Parents who feel they have nowhere to go to get something we all expect as a normal part of every child’s life in this country - To have an education and feel safe at school. Today I want to encourage Parents and Teachers and Students to speak out about what is hidden. Talk about what you are experiencing at school - the teasing or threats, the demands or inappropriate behaviour and unfair or unjust treatment. Speak up one more time because to not is giving power to the one person who least deserves it - the bully. Speak up so that you can be free of the bully’s reign of fear in your life. Speak up so that the authorities can do their job and protect you! Speak up so that others do not have to experience the same fate at the whim of this bully. Speak up for yourself and your life! Speak up so that truth can be heard and justice served (appropriately) for those who have lost their voice. Need to speak up today?
