15.01.2022 KARUMBA - OUTBACK BY THE SEA We recently spent 2 nights out at Karumba staying at the Karumba Point Sunset Caravan Park! We had a site nice and close to the new kids play area where they had a cubby house/playground & big inflatable pillow & pool!! We paid $39 per night for a powered site for 2A, 2C.... It truely was the Outback by the Sea! A small country town with an ocean full of Barra - unfortunately Brent only caught Catfish! There was soooooo many grasshoppers everywhere! I got freaked out a lot of times (another thing I am petrified of) especially these huge big suckers! Brent being Brent decided he wanted to run through a heap of them down by the ocean in the grass! You may have caught that footage on our FB & IG stories - if not be sure to check it out on our Savannah Way Youtube Episode that we launch soon! You will crack up as much as I did that’s for sure! Check out the Les Wilson Barramundi Discovery Centre too while you are there! Local towns around Karumba are Normanton & Croydon! Roads were pretty good getting to them both mostly with bitumen all the way! Otherwise it was a single lane of bitumen in the middle of the road. Safe Travels Brent & Molly The Lifestyle Hustlers

12.01.2022 WE DID A DAY TRIP OUT TO COPPERFIELD GORGE & EINASLEIGH PUB!! Have you ever been swimming in a Gorge? We sure had not!... What an experience.. not going to lie, we were packing it on the drive out there from Mt Suprise... Dirt tracks, nothing but bush around us, no other cars, Cows, Emus & us.... But we made it! We drove to Copperfield Gorge where we again tested ourselves in our first Gorge Swim! Again Extremely nervous as we had no idea what to expect... We had never done anything like this swim before... usually its beaches & pools for us in the City. So this was one amazing experience! Clear water, deep waters, fish & amazing colours from the Gorge! Nice & safe to swim with no Crocs! After our swim we then drove back into town and had a delicious Pub feed at the Einasleigh Pub! About a 1 hour 20mins each way from Mt Suprise, totally worth it! Travel Safe Brent & Molly The Lifestyle Hustlers

09.01.2022 BURKETOWN FOR THE NIGHT ON THE ALBERT RIVER - YES IT HAS CROCS!!!! After a long days driving on dirt road today from Karumba, we arrived nice & safe at Burketown! We found it on WikiCamps & it's right on the banks of the Albert River!... $35 a night for this site, no power or water... AND the river is full of big Salty Crocs! Let's just say we are keeping the children locked in the Van all arvo!!! & definitely just staying for the 1 night!! Nice spot for a stop over in Burketown instead of the Caravan Park thats for sure! 09.01.2022 3 DAYS AT COBBOLD GEORGE FOR AN ULTIMATE OUTBACK ADVENTURE!!!! They call it a "village", and now we can see why! This place has everything you could ask for in an Outback Caravan Park Experience! We left Mt Suprise and decided to make our way out to Georgetown for a few days... we got there and sometimes it just happens... We change our plans spontaneously! ... So our instant plan was to head to Cobbold Gorge! We booked the van site, booked in our tours and that was us! 3 Days to enjoy this Outback paradise! We ordered a cheese platter from the restaurant for $15 last night and LOVED watching the sun go down at Quartz Blow Lookout! It was just magical! The Kangaroos running around, cows walking past, sitting down for our picnic! It was just bliss! AND... Today we have our Cobbold Gorge Tour so we can't wait to show you that! We have loved our stay, especially with the swim up bar in the infinity pool! The restaurant has amazing food and the caravan sites are huge drive through sites! Check this place out! 09.01.2022 UNDARA LAVA TUBES & EXPERIENCE We arrived here after venturing through the Tablelands and felt like we were out in the middle of no where already!! What an amazing spot!... Undara Volcanic National Park! Undara Lava Tubes Tour & Caravan Park! Kalkani Crater! Now for the Undara Lava Tubes... Been here? Heard of it? We stayed at Undara Experience Caravan Park on a nice big drive though site. The Park is full of old Train carriages that you can either have accomodation in, or chill out in the community bar/restaurant area! Wake up to the sound of kookaburras, magpies & see the kangaroos all throughout the park. What a true bush experience it was. You can book in to have a Buffet all you can eat True Bush Breakfast, or a sit down dinner at the Restaurant in the Train Carriages! Now for the tour! Oh my! What a fantastic 2 hour tour. We got on a bus from the caravan park with the guide who took us out to the Lava Tubes. The history behind the Lava tubes is just incredible, from how it was all created, to how long they are, to how many there are! We highly suggest doing this tour if you are out this way. Cost: We paid approx $250 for: Powered Site for 2 nights & Undara Lava Tube Experience Tour - 2 Adults, 1 Infant, 1 Child. The Kalkani Crater you can walk around or drive a bit around it! 03.01.2022 COBBOLD GORGE + GLASS BOTTOM BRIDGE OVER THE GORGE + BOAT TOUR THROUGH THE GORGE!! Yesterday was one of the best tours we have done yet! Here at the Cobbold Gorge Outback Village is where we left for our tour. We were booked in for the 1.30pm tour (try get on the early one if you can! It was so hot!) and left in the Cobbold Gorge Coach that took us right up.... We started with a 1 hour 15min bush walk, learning about all the different trees, what bush trees are poisonous, what you can eat, the poisonous vines, lets just say we are so glad we learnt this for the safety of our family! We walked up and around the sacred aboriginal areas that we weren’t allowed to photograph, and then we then came up to the new Glass Bottom Bridge! I am very scared of heights and bridges that I have to walk over, but this one was one hell of an experience that I didn’t freak out too much on!! Walking over that bridge was just amazing, a few people in the group seen some fresh water crocodiles on the rocks and we walked over just in time as the other group was going under it on the boat! (Oh and check out our blue socks - so we didn't scratch the glass with our shoes! Cute... right?!) That meant then a walk back down the bottom of the Gorge and we were up next for the boat! On the Boat tour we learnt all about the Sandstone walls and all the different layers, the animals living in the gorge, YES I did say fresh water crocs before! AND snakes, spiders, butterflies and more! It was an amazing experience, one that we are excited to tick off our bucket list that’s for sure! Make sure you book in this tour as they have limited spots due to COVID rules & it is very popular! Enjoy the Ultimate Outback Experience at Cobbold Gorge! 01.01.2022 TRUE BLUE SIGN + BRENT & MOLLY = PHOTO OPPORTUNITY We just HAD to stop into Croydon to get a photo with this sign! The TRUE BLUE sign! Right in town where the Croydon information centre is! AND, Yes... Molly had to stop in the info centre and get MORE brochures of the next destinations....... Anyone else do this??? She has to study where we are going next! Lucky she is the one with the brains! Anyways... We left Cobbold Gorge yesterday and drove all the way through Croydon & Normanton to get to Karumba!! Over a 5 hour drive!!! WE ARE EXHAUSTED!!!! We are planting our feet here for a few days that's for sure! But Croydon was nice! A town full of heritage that's for sure! Check it out on your travels!
