12.01.2022 Our research has shown that one of the biggest fears that potential guardians have is the risk that they put themselves in when responding/supporting some one who has triggered their Safelet alarm. It is extremely important that you NEVER put yourself in harms way. You are not expected to do so and you have no legal obligation to do so. The Guardian app/network allows you to communicate with other Guardians in the vicinity so you can co-ordinate your response. Remember: Safe...ty in numbers. We recommend that where possible you respond in a vehicle and that you take the time to call the police and report the event and location. In most cases, just by being in the area and making a noise (beeping the horn) etc. will scare off a perpetrator and potentially help save someone in need. Under NO CIRCUMSTANCES should you approach an offender - but be ready to note details of anyone acting suspiciously in the area as they may be leaving as you are approaching. Your description could lead police directly to the perpetrator.
