18.01.2022 Zoe doing a bit of nature art! https://youtu.be/UxKf4-ncxwc

18.01.2022 We weren't going to launch this until much later in the year, but Zoe Broomhead from Living Life Counselling and I (MGA Counselling Services) have formed a new organisation to offer a fresh approach to your health and wellbeing. Welcome to Life Therapies Victoria! Of course, counselling will still be very much part of that approach, and our individual business will operate as per usual.... However, we are gathering a diverse team of therapists who are skilled in a diverse range of modalities, to offer a team approach to keep you at your best. Art, welding, music, yoga, horticulture, Wayapa, nature play, drumming, sand play, mindfulness and meditation for individuals, couples, families, and corporate/community groups are just a taste of what will be offered. We are also in conversations about opening new centres to add to our Croydon Hills, Glen Waverley and East Doncaster locations. A bare bones website will be announced shortly, plus we will be releasing a series of videos that we hurriedly put together before the stricter social distancing rules came into place, that will help equip you and your families to manage these difficult times. Remember, counselling is still available face to face or online at the moment. Call us to make an appointment if you need to or somebody you love is struggling. Stay safe everyone. 18.01.2022 Welcome to the Life Therapies Victoria family Nature Play 4 Kids!

17.01.2022 We'll be doing a bit of this at the new Life Therapies Centre....

17.01.2022 This photo was taken while sitting at my desk today. It’s the inside of a 40cm diameter terrarium that my son put together as part of a trial workshop we did in... preparation for running wellbeing retreats after Covid is gone. Lots of mental, physical and spiritual health benefits are known to come from nurturing indoor plants. Nurturing a whole eco-system takes it to another level!! We can’t go outside much at the moment, so why not bring the outside inside?!

16.01.2022 Forest Therapy Victoria group experiences have been given the socially distanced green light! The team will be getting together over the next few weeks to resch...edule public walks, corporate and community group walks, plus all ability walks. Limited to ten people and with a slightly altered program, these experiences help reduce stress and anxiety, improve blood pressure, improve immune systems, and increase appreciation for the healing properties of nature. Sign up to the newsletter or follow the Facebook page to stay in the loop. Now, perhaps more than ever, we need to be doing all we can to look after our mental health, and the wellbeing of those we love. http://www.foresttherapyvictoria.com.au See you under the trees!

16.01.2022 Even the simple act of enjoying a cup of tea can become part of your mindful practice and contribute to your health and wellbeing. 13.01.2022 #ShareYourStory "Learning the difference between self-criticism and self-compassion was a game-changer for me. Self-criticism is that drill sergeant in your hea...d, yelling at you to be better. Often, this voice gets mistaken by us for motivation. Self-compassion, on the other hand, is telling yourself that you are okay, even if you aren’t perfect today. You can’t be healthy if you’re constantly mean to yourself. And everyone deserves self-compassion. Including you, reading this right now." - Cheryl #WeDoAct #WEDAD #WorldEatingDisordersActionDay

03.01.2022 Fortunately we're still allowed to spend time in nature during this period of social distancing. Next time you're out in the park, or even just your back yard, take a sketch book and pencil to create a 'sound map'. Exercises like this help you slow down, destress, and appreciate all the sounds nature has to offer. Down load the PDF below with instructions on how to create your own sound map.... http://www.lifetherapiesvictoria.com.au//Branded-Sound-Map www.lifetherapiesvictoria.com.au

01.01.2022 One of the best ways to cope with social isolation and distancing is to communicate with those we love and care for as often as we can. Trees show us how it's done! https://youtu.be/vbpjo8txJ0M
