Kylie managed all from the beginning till all the paperwork in between and supported us afterwards in Germany with... it and believe me that was a lot!!! From the moment we met her for the first time we had the feeling that we know her for years not just from mails a few weeks ago. She is just such a warm and lovingly person! She is doing everything that is possible to support you and to make you enjoy your special day! She just had the perfect speech - very personal and very romantic. You can choose in advance what kind of ceremony you would like to have! On our wedding day it was pouring rain but Kylie and our brilliant photographer Maria from Zen Photography still made this day perfect and unforgettable for us! Very proud of the lads and their commitment to training and see their passion for the sport grow. 09.01.2022 Lacey and Leigh were very relaxed from the beginning and their easy love and assuredness was so present on the day - there was some beautiful rituals embedded in their ceremony , Handfasting, Parent acknowledgments and ring warming - I think the most beautiful part was the effort they made to write their own vows, I have been involved in weddings for over 15 years and I was taken by surprise when I cried with laughter and admiration as they read their vows to one another , th...is a couple so in love you cant help it fall upon you and give you goose bumps... a family of five committed to one another . It was super special and joyous to see their friends and family celebrate with them . One of the pics in this stunning series was when a cockatoo had just squarked overhead ( me with a weird face and Leigh Pointing to his family) We had just acknowledged those gone before and Mentioned Ken who was a close family friend, Just at that moment a cockatoo flew overhead and squarked a chorus , it occurred to me and I shared 'Perhaps that was him" as Jim, Lacey's dad had shared that Ken had been a pretty colourful and loud character ..How the signs and spirits can be felt in our hearts and sometimes if we are lucky enough to manifest on the day . 07.01.2022 I have had a number of conversations lately about why do I stand to the side when officiating a couple's wedding Ceremony . I thought I will clarify- Don't get me wrong if you want me to stand between you no problem ! If you wish to create an intimate relaxed and inclusive feeling it starts with the little things. I was a professional wedding photographer for over ten years and I had a hard time coming to terms with why some celebrants chose to do the "Old Fashioned Thin...g" of standing between the couple. It is not legally required we are not in a church and to be honest it often ruins your photos. Apart from that you have both travelled a journey to reach the point of being married, it is one of the most intimate moments in your ceremony when you turn to face one another and speak from your heart.....but wait you have a relative stranger between you while you do that ? ..... I do not encourage repeating vow's either..... vows will then take twice as long, sound very unnatural, very old fashioned in delivery and once again the celebrant is between you in your PHOTOS!! In my experience when I have done repeat vows often one of the couple if not both are looking to me when they are repeating the vows , which is a little strange as I am not the one they are marrying Once we have established what a couple would like to include in their vows (as in writing their own or blending from the many examples given ) I have them written for you on your day and always check with each couple on the day to have a final read before the ceremony, (see pic with sam in her room) SO there you have it a few reasons why I like to stand to the side on your big day , Wedding photo from a beautiful couple I had the joy of Marrying at the Elandra in Mission Beach last year .
