24.01.2022 How cool is Edna - what a legend.

24.01.2022 It wouldn’t be the Amazing Race without an eating challenge and during our leg in China we couldn’t go past chicken feet. Residents were challenged to eat the Chinese delicacy and their reactions, and intrigue were priceless. #AmazingRace #eattingchallenge #chickenfeet #activevibrantliving #agedcare #lifeview

18.01.2022 Phil runs a Music Appreciation session on Monday afternoons for his fellow Argyle Court residents, presenting shows and pieces from his favourite composers. He talks most fondly of Andrew Lloyd Webber and is proud that his father played the piano at the Royal Albert Hall with Andrew himself. So, it seemed fitting for Phil to be gifted Andrew Lloyd Webber’s autobiography and a music book of this favourite show, Evita, as his #MagicMoment. #activevibrantliving #agedcare #lifeview

17.01.2022 The Lifeview Innovation Award is given to the staff member or department that has generated novel and valuable ideas and used these ideas to develop new or improved processes, methods, systems, programs or services. The award recognises creative ideas and have made Lifeview a better place to live or work. They demonstrate creative solutions, suggest and develop new ways to improve quality and services for long term success. The 2020 winner of the Innovation Award was the Ma...rketing, Engagement & Diversity Team for the Lifeview 2020 Calendar. The idea and creation of the naughty but nice calendar came from discussions between the marketing team and residents, and I don’t think anyone really thought it would get off the ground. However, on two cool September days in 2019 residents attended a professional photo shoot at a studio in Moorabbin and the results were amazing. Based on the UK movie Calendar Girls, Lifeview’s pin up residents excelled at modelling and soon their story was across the media, featured in Take 5 Magazine, on The Project and in many aged care publications. The calendar even lead to three residents being asked to appear in a naughty Christmas video! The calendar was sold across Australia not only to family and friends but people who saw it on TV. #Innovation #staffawards #activevibrantliving #agedcare #lifeview The Project The Studio Melbourne HelloCare Take 5 Magazine

17.01.2022 Residents enjoyed making fluffy pancakes on Shrove Tuesday, but I am sure we all agree that the best part of having pancakes is choosing what to put on them. #lemonandsugar #jam #chocolatesauce #freshfruit #cream #pancakes #shrovetuesday #activevibrantliving #agedcare #lifeview

09.01.2022 The 2020 Outstanding Employee Award went to a staff member who demonstrated excellence in overall job performance. Making significant contributions to Lifeview, showing willingness to assist beyond normal expectations, whilst demonstrating dedication to the profession, and showing initiative and/or creativity in the workplace. Although 2020 has been a tough year we were delighted to have seven finalists for this award a testament to those who have risen in the face of ad...versity. However, the 2020 Outstanding Employee of the Year was Gill Hynes, Customer Experience Champion and Resident Advocate. Gill is Lifeview’s longest serving staff member and this year stepped up to another level. Gill is always present for residents, their families and staff, and will get stuck in a do whatever is required of her, and to her own detriment always putting herself last. Due to COVID, Gill had been unable to visit all Lifeview homes, where residents were constantly asking, when will they see Gill again Gill’s coffee mornings being the most popular activity on offer at Lifeview, so Gill set up an inter-home Zoom quiz to stay connected to as many residents as possible. Congratulations Gill, you are one of a kind. #outstandingemploee #Staffmemberoftheyear #staffawards #activevibrantliving #agedcare #lifeview #recognition #award #love #appreciation #thankyou #motivation #congratulations #achievement #gratitude #inspiration #winner #alwayspresent

04.01.2022 This year’s Engage Award went to a staff member who consistently looks to find special ways to connect with everyone they encounter, for no other reason than to brighten their day. It can be the little things that have a huge impact and make someone’s day, and the winner, Marc Zywaczewski, Social Support Coordinator, Argyle Court, knows this very well. Marc goes out of his way to get to know each resident, their history, likes, and dislikes to enable him to better engage wit...h them. This is expressed through Magic Moments that capture the true meaning of the exercise such as arranging for a resident to have a personal video call with one of her LGBTI heroes or bringing a pub meal into the home and waiting on residents as if they were in a restaurant. This year Marc also involved residents and staff in the making of their own Git Up challenge video, choreographing the dance moves, shooting and editing the final production. This video went viral on social media and Marc was interviewed by a number of media outlets. Congratulations Marc. #LIFEpriciples #Engage #staffawards #activevibrantliving #agedcare #lifeview #recognition #award #love #appreciation #thankyou #motivation #congratulations #achievement #gratitude #inspiration #winner #brightensomeonesday #magicmoments #gitupchellenge
