20.01.2022 Just wanted to say how proud i am of all my clients who have kept up with training during this tough time. There were plenty of potential excuses, but instead everyone made the conscious decision to focus on importance of exercise to their physical and mental health and embrace this new way of training and the benefits that they could get out of it. I have clients who's have suddenly becoming teachers on top of parents and workers, who are working on the front line doing... crazy hours, who's lives got turned upside down, but rather than put training to the side, and giving up, they have put in their best effort, for some that was just getting regular movement in, for some it was keeping up the habit of regularly training and for some it was an opportunity to push themselves to the next level They have reached a place where exercise is no longer another chore on the long list of things we have to do, but a chance to spend some quality 'me time', a chance to work out frustrations, a chance to have some fun and a chance to do something that makes you feel great, inside and out :) I'm excited to be able to start training some people face to face and in small groups next week, but thrilled with how we, as a community have thrived through this time and will continue to, over the next weeks and months as things slowly become more normal. I am confident that each and everyone of you will come out on the other side stronger and more empowered than ever

Saumya, we will miss your enthusiasm, great energy and welcoming smile! We wish you all the best, and look forward to seeing you again in the future! She believes that exercise shouldn't be a chore or something you drag yourself out of bed to do just because society says we should be smaller, leaner and weigh less! ... Leading a healthy lifestyle should give you more energy to spend time with your family, make you feel confident in your own skin and build strength and fitness so you feel capable and confident as you get older. Your training should be an opportunity to spend time on yourself and have fun with friends! To continue this mission she is launching the BE MORE program. Starting 14th of October This program includes - 3 x Small Group Sessions a week focusing on Strength and Conditioning - Nutrition Targets and Advice - Individualised Program for further training - Focus on improved energy levels - Accountability - A community of like-minded people to support you along the way. 18.01.2022 Katie is stoked to announce that Live Laugh Lift Personal Training, is now officially Lift It Fitness aka "Lift Fit" There will be no immediate differences in day to day business, Katie is still working one on one and with small groups to empower men and women to become the best version of themselves However, Katie is hoping this name is more memorable for exciting opportunities in the future :) ... 13.01.2022 At Lift Fit we have always talked about the importance of exercise in peoples life, not just for physical health, but mental health too! During this crazy time, i believe its more important than ever to be prioritizing both, and certainly its not the time to be putting exercise on the back burner. For so many people, exercise is their escape, their stress reliever and energy booster, its a chance to hang out with friends and feel good about themselves. ... Therefore, Lift Fit are doing everything we can to ensure that people can continue their healthy habits and experience a sense of routine, in this unusual time. Sooo what are we actually doing?? Currently, we have a huge focus on hygiene in our sessions, i swear, our gym must be one of the most sanitized places in Hobart! In groups, Katie has changed her programming to ensure social distancing is achievable, and limit the sharing of equipment. We are also setting plans in place as to how we are able to keep our clients, and other Anytime Fitness Gym Members moving, if the gym is required to close. The option to train outdoors will be considered if health, safety and weather all permit. We are also creating an Online Coaching Program to be able to deliver individual programs to do at home, coaching and accountability through an online platform if it is necessary for further social isolation! In the mean time, we encourage people to be prepared to adapt, and make the necessary changes to their lifestyle, but not panic. And to keep in mind, for some people, this might be an incredibly tough time, make sure you check in with friends and family, spread love and kindness as much as possible! We may have to keep our distances, but a smile or friendly word towards a stranger can have the power to change their day!

07.01.2022 Rather than a setback, use it as an opportunity to learn something new about your body! After having to take 2 months off training due to morning sickness in my first trimester of pregnancy, I'm finally back in the gym and able to move my body again! It's a very different experience, and I could choose to be frustrated at how unfit I feel and how I can't lift weights or perform movements I used to...... However instead, I'm learning to listen to my body, pace workouts so I am not drained of energy, choose movements I can control well, and weights that aren't going to put to much strain on my ever changing body. No matter what your body is going through, be kind to yourself and just enjoy how great moving your body can make you feel!

05.01.2022 Work your weakness untill it becomes a strength! We are all guilty of spending a little bit to much time on the things were good at, and not enough time on those things that are a little trickier... It's really important to identify those areas you might be avoiding because they are hard, or even just not as exciting, and set yourself a goal to beat or target to reach! ... Excited to be starting with a gymnastics coach to strip it right back down to basics and build the foundation of my movements again to improve my performance overall, but specifically get better at those movements I find really challenging!

Even though we have been confined to our homes, this hasn't changed our message or mission! ... Over the last few weeks, Lift It clients have been focusing on the positives and have been using this as opportunity to work on some different areas that they would like to improve on. Some of our goals include: Improving our self motivation and ability to push ourselves when no one is watching Learning to use mind to muscle connection and focus on ideal technique meaning even with lighter weights, our training is still challenging and beneficial! Using extra time at home to cook good nutritious meals. Learning things we can implement to improve our health and ensure our immune system is strong Taking time for self care and looking after our mental health Working on areas of our fitness we may have been avoiding...*Cough* Running *Cough*....
