17.01.2022 A version of the One Arm DB Row to put more emphasis on the lats as a stabiliser. Removing the external stability (such as holding the rack) forces you to internally stabilise. It’s common for people to compensate with traps and rhomboids but this variation forces the lats and core to work harder where an athlete may have difficulty doing so. This has been a great variation for those with recovering from a low back or shoulder injury. #powerlifting #bodybuilding #powerbuilding #rehab #strengthcoach

15.01.2022 Battle of Valhalla done and dusted. @lduce_strengthandconditioning just started 9 weeks ago 135kg squat, 60kg bench press, 145kg deadlift @alisonandric 122.7kg squat, 70KG bench press and 155kg deadlift ... @billybob_18 170kg squat (missed an easy 182.5kg), 82.5kg bench Press, 195kg deadlift. 13.01.2022 That intuition, drive and craziness that elite athletes have has taken years to develop. No one can come off the street and do what the elite do. They will think you are bat shit crazy. I focus each competition layering the mindset and skill foundation. Number 1 is enjoyment, that satisfying feeling of a good competition and enjoyable training. Don’t push too hard in training, just progress and definitely do not do blood pissing, pants shitting maxes for at least a few years. All you’ll do is create an egotistical athlete that won’t be satisfied in competing.

12.01.2022 NEW PODCAST EPISODE Podiatrist Stephan McMurray on Foot Mechanics for powerlifting. After my talk on the Converse shoe episode he was able to clear a lot more up and elaborate on the anatomy and biomechanics of the foot and how to select the right shoe for lifting. https://youtu.be/hJjFrSI7d2w

11.01.2022 Tension Plank is a great exercise to teach full body bracing. There can be a-lot of moving parts to create stability across every joint in the body but this exercise can help consolidate the confusion by cue fist to clench.

07.01.2022 @billybob_18 with 140kg for easy triples. The amazing thing about Ana is how well she has mastered the management of her injury. Last year she got a disc bulge and with a 6 month return to the platform plan she hit a 170kg squat, 75kg bench press and 170kg deadlift. The thing to understand that a back injury requires a lifestyle change and to perform with it requires a great understanding of your body and how it moves.

05.01.2022 Ana with a crazy 195kg deadlift. So close to breaking 200kg.

04.01.2022 FEMALE TOP 10 of @liftersleague - it’s a rare moment I get to update the top 10 board for our team because I’ve had the privilege to work with so many of the worlds best. Congratulations @billybob_18 for making the deadlift leaderboard now.
