22.01.2022 Contemplating on going to a Support Group for Mental Health? The first time is always the hardest! The panic attacks, anxiety and the adrenalin when you are already outside the door - the pressure is enormous, we get it. All you have to do is to show up. You dont have to speak if you dont want to. Just have a seat and relax. YOU MADE IT! We cant guarantee that peer support works for everyone. However, we can tell you that from our experience, the ones that chose to let... go and open up typically receive an incredible amount of support from other people and were glad that they shared their struggles. Visit https://www.liftmeup.org.au/weekly-support-group to read more about what we do.
22.01.2022 Our support group is now online! The current climate caused by COVID-19 has had a monumental impact on the physical and mental health of many people globally and nationally, which is why more than ever, we need to #stayconnected ! To facilitate the on-going changes due to the current situation, we have decided to take our support group online to provide our attendees with a trusted platform for social support. Our support group will be held fortnightly on a Wednesday. We hope... to see you then! 06.01.2022 Hi everyone, we hope you are well and keeping safe! Weve been very busy working on LiftMeUps re-branding and excited to reveal our new identity! Whilst this may look like a big change on the outside, our inner beliefs, values, and commitment at LiftMeUp havent changed. In fact, we have dedicated our time in creating this fresh new face and trying to improve our supporting network to make sure people from far and wide can reach out and connect better with us in these diffic...ult times. As LiftMeUp moves to bigger and better things, wed like the time to thank LiftMeUps supporters and volunteers, as we would not be here if it wasnt for your dedication and loyal support. On that note, we will continue to host our support groups online every Wednesday (Next Online Session: 16th April 6-8 pm and 8-10pm). We hope to see you there!
