12.01.2022 Did you know that your lifetime risk of pelvic organ prolapse is 50% if you have had a baby? Although this statistic may seem scary, it doesn’t have to be. If identified and managed well in the early stages, prolapse does not have to negatively affect your quality of life. Pelvic physiotherapists provide effective and safe, non surgical treatment options for prolapse. ... Let’s remove the fear and stigma surrounding this common condition and work together towards solutions that allow women to live full and active lives! #pop #prolapse #pelvicorganprolapse #postnatal #antenatal #pregnancy #pelvichealth #womenshealth #pelvicfloor #physiotherapy #choosephysio

07.01.2022 Doing regular pelvic floor muscle training during pregnancy significantly reduces the risk of bladder leakage post birth. How good is that! As a pelvic health physio, one of my favourite consultations is a pregnancy pelvic floor health check. I use real time ultrasound on the lower abdomen to check that you are doing your pelvic floor exercises correctly and provide you with a personalised exercise program. Definitely a worthwhile investment into your future pelvic health! #pregnancy #pelvichealth #pelvichealthphysio #postnatal #antenatal #pelvicfloor #incontinence #womenshealth #physio #physiotherapy #physiofirst #choosephysio
