15.01.2022 Hobart Twilight Market suspends operations for 30 days! After much consultation, the Hobart Twilight Market has decided to suspend future market operations at b...oth Long Beach, Sandy Bay and Brooke Street Pier sites for 30 days, effective immediately. This decision means the inaugural Tasmanian Multicultural Festival which was to be held at Long Beach Sandy Bay this Friday in conjunction with the markets season six finale will also not go ahead. The Hobart College Band were due to perform and have been required to cancel. We understand that markets were not classified as static, however, with movie nights and tables for seating, it was felt that the market fell into the category of a static event. Many of our stallholders have young families or elderly parents and weren’t comfortable in participating in the current schedule of markets. We are aware that some markets, food and beverage related events across the state will proceed with caution, however, we feel the decision we’ve made is the right one at the present time. Whilst some of our stallholders may participate in smaller events and other markets, some rely solely on income generated from sales at the Hobart Twilight Market, they will 100% need the public’s support post the market suspension. The markets season finale for Long Beach Sandy Bay and the inaugural Tasmanian Multicultural Festival will be rescheduled, date to be advised. Brooke Street Pier operations may resume on Friday, April 24, 2020. The dates for the Hobart Twilight Market Long Beach Sunday Series will be: April 19 May 24 Jun 21 Jul 19 Aug 16 Sep 20

08.01.2022 The Hive Market will be postponing our upcoming market on April 19th. After much consultation, we have decided this is the right decision to make. We understand... that markets were not classified as an event that needed to be cancelled however, with tables for seating and inside space that isnt well ventilated it was felt that the market fell into the category. Many of our stallholders have young families or elderly parents and we weren’t comfortable putting anyone at risk. We are aware that some markets across the state will proceed with caution, however, we feel the decision we’ve made is the right one at the present time. In the coming days we will be sharing a list of our stallholders and would really encourage everyone to follow their pages and do your handmade shopping online.
