08.01.2022 We'd like to thank Cindy at Emotional Resilience Techniques for all the work that she did to co-host the Simplicity workshop with Shalom two weeks ago! We'd also like to thank those who attended for joining us, and for the feedback we've received! Two of our Chiropractic Assistants attended the event and here's what they had to say: "I had a great time at the Simplicity Event! It was engaging, well organised, and I left with so many tools to help improve my own and others wel...l being. The breathing was definitely super useful and it was really interesting to see how different breathing techniques could have different effects. The labyrinth was also a really interesting form of meditation that really helped me clarify some big things." ~ Aylia "I found the Simplicity event last Sunday very helpful and insightful. Shalom and Cindy's session was very easy to understand and we were given time to practice and experience different mindfulness and breathing techniques. I found myself walking on the street being aware of my breath: In 2 3 4, Out 2 3 4. Shalom's knowledge about science and spirituality blends so well together and his passion makes all the knowledge come alive. I feel so grateful to be there, learn and grow." ~ Daisy We look forward to hosting more workshops in the future, and will be sure to let you know when they're coming!

03.01.2022 Yesterday, I shared a bit about healthy aggression, which is a state involving sympathetic activation to help us to stand up and speak up for ourselves and othe...rs when something doesn't "feel right", with the containment of our safe ventral vagal so that we can do so in a grounded and respectful way (there’s a link to the post in the comments if you missed it). So what can we do to increase our ability to stay present with and harness our "Fight" energy, so that we can express it in a way that is non-violent and healthy? Here are a few ideas: Identify and witness our sympathetic Fight state, perhaps the feeling of irritation, frustration, anger or rage, the tense or vibrating sensations in our body, the impulse to lash out, and the thoughts that usually centre around someone having done something "wrong" or it being their "fault". Acknowledge our experience with compassion and non-judgement, I notice that I’m feeling in my body I sense ... what I'd really like to do and say is ... I notice that I'm thinking that .... Resource ourselves to bring safety back to our system (e.g. focus on our breath, feel the support of the surface beneath us, slowly look around our environment to remind ourselves that we're safe, do some mindful movement by following our impulses in a safe way). Recognise our "Fight" state as a message that something important to us is feeling threatened (there is something we have a clear yes or no to). What is it that we sense is being threatened? Use our thinking brain to come up with a plan to address the issue, which harnesses the sympathetic "Fight" energy (i.e. mobilisation, doing or saying something about it), with the containment offered by our ventral vagal engagement (i.e. in a manner that is grounded, confident, and respectful). Express ourselves with honesty, authenticity and self-responsibility, honouring our needs and boundaries, but without blame or judgement of the other party (e.g. express our feelings and needs, and make a request or set a limit). I'm wondering how all of that sounds to you? Is there one step you could take today that could help you to embody more healthy aggression in your life?

02.01.2022 Lior and Noa’s first Magazine covers. The gorgeous photo is by Reka Choy Photography. I think her work is world class. We will always treasure her photos of the... girls. The girls won one cover. A huge thank you to MJND Talents and Paris Chic Kids Magazine for this opportunity. Lior and Noa are represented by Starfish Kids Talent Agency.

02.01.2022 Hello Sydney friends, Small plead for help / shameless self-promotion here . Woolworths are doing a very small trial with my products through a small selec...t of their Sydney Metro stores and will be conducting a ‘chilled review’ in February. If the lines are moving well they’ll consider opening up to the wider network. Once you’re in, you only get one go... It’s a tricky product to launch because most people still do not know what a raw cake is. The product itself is also fairly small on shelf and could easily get lost in all the noise. Because of Covid I cannot do in-store sampling which otherwise works really well. Unfortunately I don’t have a huge marketing budget to educate the general public!! These first few months are therefore crucial If you happen to pass a Metro in the coming weeks/months, I’d be forever grateful if you could purchase one of my chilled treats - it would be incredibly helpful Alternatively plug my products to your friends+family . Thank you so much!! Edit: These are the stores where you can find product. 01.01.2022 Have you heard the news? We're so excited to finally make it officially public! After 13 years of practicing out of rented space, Shalom and Helene Drimer have bought their very own clinic premises! We have some cosmetic renovations to do before we move in, so we will stay in Glebe through the end of the year, but we are very much hoping & anticipating to start January 2021 in the new space! ... It's BIGGER and QUIETER and we think you're going to LOVE it!! We'll post renovation updates along the way so you can watch the new space take shape.
