18.01.2022 It's time to come back to my FB Page here. I want to talk about anxiety a lot. I often say to my patients, anxiety is a fundamentally simple thing. It's a physiological arousal process in our body, common to all mammalian beings, to tell us that something is or might be a threat. So, for the modern human, so often this threat turns out to be our own reactions to situations, or even, our own obsessive or otherwise threatening thought processes. Hmmm, suddenly, it's not so simple! Hence, for most of us doing this therapeutic work, anxiety is often ubiquitous. It's threaded through what people bring to therapy.

18.01.2022 I often say to my clients at particular moments in the therapy: it is a spiritual principle that we each, as adults, focus on our own happiness. This logically follows from other principles, such as that each of us is the only one who can pursue our own happiness, and, that surely it is clear that the world needs more happiness.

13.01.2022 I've just come back from a gathering of the Australian Breathwork Association, which supports breath workers in Australia and liaises with international Breathwork associations and individuals. The gatherings and conferences are always an opportunity for spiritual regeneration for me. To be in the presence of other breathworkers and share knowledge, and breathe (the conscious connected breathing which is the core technique of internationally recognised Breathwork), is a joy for me. If anyone wants to know more about Breathwork in Australia just ask me via message or post.

10.01.2022 Thank you Treya for sharing your wisdom here. You articulate each topic with a depth of knowledge and experience not often encountered. We are blessed to have you practicing in our midst

08.01.2022 We are in various kinds of trances much more than most of us realise. One of the obvious examples is when we arrive somewhere in our vehicle and can't really remember parts of the journey. The ubiquitous nature of trance, I think, leads to the appreciation of what concepts of enlightenment must really entail. The integration of awareness of all of memory and absolute present consciousness is something to aim for, perhaps. A particular way I use the idea of trance sometimes is in relationship therapy. It can be one of the aids in unravelling some of the stuck places in relationships. Deeper into this, comes the complex states of denial and immobility in damaging relationships where love has turned to disappointment and codependency.
