22.01.2022 As well as supplying the control system for Royal Perth Yacht Club 's Clubhouse refurbishment, Light Application also designed and programmed a customizable touchscreen for the system. The touchscreen allows the user to simply select preprogrammed lighting scenes. Our team even included a "Photography" scene that automatically sets the lighting to the best level for taking those flawless wedding shots! 19.01.2022 For the first time since completion Main Roads Western Australia (MRWA) has changed the feature lighting on the Wanneroo Road Joondalup Drive Interchange to green in support of local community requests for St Patrick’s Day. On a normal evening, the bridge and art wall is set to default as white lighting to subtly compliment the bridge architecture and artworks. This has been the status quo since commissioning so local drivers were able to familiarise themselves with the new r...oad layout. After consultation and feedback from local community groups, MRWA have now added the Wanneroo Road Joondalup Drive Interchange feature lighting to their weekly rotation of feature lighting schedules in support for local, national and international causes or events We look forward to seeing the bridge lit up in different colours throughout the year. MRWA now has 5 globally controlled feature lighting installations that Light Application have been excited to work on: Sky Ribbon - Tonkin HWY x Leach Highway, Kewdale Matagarup Pedestrian Bridge - East Perth/Burswood Mount Street Pedestrian Bridge - Perth Graham Farmer Freeway Tunnel Entrance - East Perth Wanneroo Road Joondalup Drive Interchange Community groups can request MRWA for feature lighting colours to support their cause of local events. 07.01.2022 "Windows into the Past" by Tony Pankiw for the City of Nedlands The sculptures are illuminated by Color Kinetics Vaya Linear LPs mounted within the roof area. Light Application selected these linear luminaires as their slim form factor makes them ideal for space restricted applications. The light shines beautifully through the water jet cut images projecting the pictures onto the surrounds. What a stunning result!... 05.01.2022 Light Application worked closely with Geoffrey to deliver "Surface". At the time of installation, Surface was believed to be the largest interactive 3D light matrix in the world. Located in Perth Children's Hospital , four motion sensors installed in the ceiling detect the approximate position of pedestrians walking beneath, triggering patterns through the artwork in real time, like a stone causing ripples as it skips across a surface of water. This makes the artwork wonderfully interactive for children and adults alike and an integral part of the hospitals healing environment. #lightapplication #lightingcontrolsolutions #lightingcontrol #lighting
