11.01.2022 Here are some snapshots of the learning centres in the Seahorse Room and some learning experiences. All together that makes our learning environment.

11.01.2022 As part of our Family Learning Centre, we spent some time cooking last month. The bread that we made, looked and tasted great ! We learned to knead and not to squeeze the dough, that the bread needs to rise, that it does take a while for the bread to be cooled down after being in the oven... the children loved being part of this !

11.01.2022 The Dolphins and Starfish have been exploring their colours and shapes through object printing outside today. Being confident and involved learners they have transferred and adapted what they have been learning inside last week to this new activity.

10.01.2022 May I introduce you: the Choice Board in the Seahorse Room. At the top a time line where we visualize how the day will go with a picture for each activity in the right order. This helps the children to learn more about time and it gives them support and security when they know what is going to happen next. Underneath we have photos of the different activities the children can choose from at that time. The yellow dots show them how many children can attend. The children place... their own symbol on a dot before they go to that activity. When they are finished they can make another choice. It secures their play spot, the corners dont get crowded, they learn to make choices, and it also gives them the opportunity to know where their friends are playing. In the Seahorse Room we think the Choise Board is a very interesting part of our dayly practice. See more
