25.01.2022 Product of the Month!! S T O R M A S T E R R A N G E LPI’s Stormaster range is a fully tested family of stainless steel air terminals in compliance to NF C 17-102 (2011).... All Stormaster terminals have been tested by the ITE HV Laboratory in Europe, which has National (ENAC, UNE) and International (ILAC / ISO / IEC) Accreditation. Our Stormaster range also holds the Australian Made Certification because we manufacture this fully in our Hobart factory. We have recently improved the way we make these terminals and our production team have perfected the art of pumping large quantities of these terminals out quickly and effectively. We have further upgrades to these terminals coming in the very near future based on customer feedback! Stay tuned!!! Next time you walk past a tall structure look to the roof and see if you can spot a LPI STORMASTER perched on top! Follow these links to find out more info and to see some of our installs - https://www.lpi.com.au/products/direct-strike/ https://www.lpi.com.au/projects/

24.01.2022 At LPI we are taking our cleaning routines very seriously!! Lovely Aurora, along with all of our staff, clean our entire office and warehouse areas daily as per Australian Government recommendations. We also make sure to have hand sanitiser (courtesy of our neighbours White Label Distillery) at our entrance, despatch area and front desk. All of our visitors must answer Covid related questions and have their temperature checked before entering the premises. The safety of our staff and visitors is very important to us and we are proud of how everyone has taken on this extra responsibility to keep us all safe!

22.01.2022 Product of the Month!! B L U E T O O T H S P D The LPI SST150B is a single mode power line shunt surge protection device rated for 50 kA 8/20 s single shot surge capacity (Imax). The unit is designed for mounting at main power switchboards and distribution boards in category C locations as per the IEC and other international standards.... It is the simplest form of power line protection. Shunt SPDs are connected in parallel, passing dangerous surges quickly to earth whilst clamping the voltage level to protect downstream equipment. Since Shunt SPDs do not pass the load current, they are very compact. They are installed from phase-to-neutral and neutral-to-earth, sometimes called all mode protection and are utilised across many industries. Shunt SPDs utilise metal oxide varistors, spark gaps or silicon diodes, each with advantages and disadvantages, but the design typically depends on the equipment being protected. The below image illustrates a 3-phase + Neutral-Earth SPD configured to provide 100 kA protection per phase. Each phase module has plug-and-base modularity and utilises the latest in Bluetooth diagnostics features for easy maintenance. We make the SST150B range in house in our Hobart Workshop (with the help of Yumi our friendly robot) so these products hold the Australian Made certification.

18.01.2022 Vale John Richard Gumley (Rick): All of us involved with LPI throughout the years owe a debt of gratitude to Rick (pictured at the opening of our current facility a few years ago) for his efforts at introducing us to this industry and sharing his knowledge, expertise and generally mentoring those who interacted with him. We would like to make a fitting tribute to Rick’s very full life particularly as it impacted us. In celebration of Rick’s life, LPI intends to host a social... function in the coming months to refresh acquaintances, focussed particularly on those who knew him through his life’s work in Lightning Protection. Of course, there will be a requirement for us to comply with COVID-19 restrictions, and some limitations accordingly. For those of you who are unable to attend in person, but wish to be involved, we may still be able to include you via other technological means. Further information will follow with details of what we can safely organise but for now, if you wish to attend please feel free to drop an email to [email protected] to register your interest.

13.01.2022 Check out this great installation of LPI products at a golf course!! One of the myths that we hear a lot is that it’s safe to play golf in an open area when there is a storm, it is actually very dangerous!! Our Lightning Warning System is recommended and is installed at a lot of golf courses to give players enough warning to get inside before a storm starts. Stay safe!
