02.01.2022 Self care is one of those things that seemed like a no brainer to me. I mean I obviously take care of my self. But it's not that simple. I had to spend most of my life going places I didn't want to go, hanging out with people that I didn't want to be around and saying yes when I really wanted to say NO, before I realised i wasn't practicing self care. I was working harder to keep other people happy and disregarding my own feelings. This led to major anxiety and stress anytime... someone wanted to hang out. It wasn't until @jenaetien taught me that self care means putting YOU first. It means being comfortable saying "no"and not feeling guilty for taking "me" time. There is still a long way to go but practising self care the right way has changed the way I move through life.
