12.01.2022 Back on Track.... With no track action for just under 3 months, it was good to get back out and turn a few laps. Unfortunately the weather got the better of us but not before we were able to try some new products we have been working on over the Covid break. Thanks to the Adelaide Dirt Kart Club for their effort getting everyone back on track so quick after the restrictions were lifted.

09.01.2022 COVID-19 We are all living in an ever changing world. With much of the things we love + enjoy being temporarily put on hold. Lightning Karts is adhering to the advice + recommendations set out by the Australian Government.... We have taken the following measures - - Increased our cleaning + hygiene control. - Allowing more space within the showroom to practice social distancing. - We have closed the workshop area + office only allow staff. We are still open for business at our retail site. All is not doom + gloom during this period without racing. It will allow us to dedicate our time to some new + exciting projects we had once struggled to find the time to pursue. You can still shop our web-shop. If you want to shop from home, or if you prefer we now offer a click-and-collect option, should you prefer the grab + run. Lightning Karts appreciates your business + wishes everyone all the best during this period of uncertainty. We are all in this together..

04.01.2022 2019 AIDKA WA Title. Jennacubbine Dirt Kart Club was the host of this year's WA state title. The weekend started on Friday with wild winds and rain. By the time racing officially started Saturday morning, Jenna turned on some great weather. Providing some spectacular racing on their tight and challenging circuit. Lightning drivers Mathew Bain (Twin KT), Brock Francis (Junior Heavy) & Luke Hughes (125 Heavy) all stood on top of the podium at the end of the weekend.... Congratulations to everyone that competed over the weekend. Well done to the Jennacubbine Dirt Kart Club, for keeping the spirit of dirt karting alive with plenty of entertainment both on and off the track. On a personal note, a huge thank you to Brad and Billy for all their help over the weekend, The Krause family for the use of their trailer and Kartmart for the use of their KT Medium Kart.

03.01.2022 Sadly today we farewelled a much loved member of our Motorsport family, Kym Rodda. He was always there to help anyone out, thank you for the memories. Our thoughts are with the Rodda family + loved ones at this difficult time..

01.01.2022 2019 All Powers Nationals - Mildura Last weekend was the 2019 All Powers Nationals at the Sunraysia Kart Club in Mildura, Victoria The best from SKAA & AIDKA come together for two days racing to fight for over $6000 in cash, prizes and to stand on top of the podium. The first night of racing seen Jason Loft taking out the victory in the Modified class after working his way from the rear of the field. Third place was Mark Burford, who also finished second in the Twin class ...after leading for the first half of the race. Night 2 seen Lightning driver dominate, taking out the top 3 placings in the All Powers class. 1st - Tyson Martin, 2nd - Dylan Goodger, 3rd - Jason Loft. With an incredible 0.321 of a second separating them at the completion of the 30 lap final. A great weekend was had by everyone who attended. It is always good to catch up with drivers and crew we don’t normally get to race against. Thank you to the Sunraysia Kart Club for making us feel welcome and making sure we had everything we needed Look forward to seeing everyone at the next Speedway Karts meeting at Gillman on the 16th June.
