24.01.2022 With space at an absolute premium due to the mounting of the external oil pump on this race engine, there was no room to fit a connector on the crank-angle-sensor! The innovative solution was to crimp the wires with the correct pins then set the wires in place using a special oil and fuel resistant potting compound. 24.01.2022 Cylinder head sealing is often an overlooked area when building a high performance engine. Higher cylinder pressure (caused by large camshafts, high compression ratios, turbo/superchargers and nitrous) requires a more robust cylinder block to cylinder head seal in order to contain the increased pressure. 23.01.2022 Dave bought his VE SS to us to inspect and diagnose an abnormally noisy engine. . Upon disassembly it was found the engine was quite unwell with failed lifters/camshaft and excessive piston-to-bore clearance!! . The only rectification for this disease is a full engine rebuild. The silver lining in the whole situation is that we were then able to employ our new LP custom piston program which enabled a much larger camshaft to be fitted ... .
